Resident Evil 2 Remake is a survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. It was released for on January 25, 2019 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It’s a remake of the 1998 video game. Like the original game, there are two ways to play the game, first as Leon and then as Clair, or vice versa. Personally for both the original and the remake, I went with Claire first. There are some differences depending on who you choose to play as first, as the second character’s story is shorter and some of the puzzles as the first character have to be solved regardless of which one it is.

Two months after the train and mansion incidents, Racoon City’s residents have been turned into zombies. Unsure what is going on, Claire Redfield, Chris from the first game’s sister and Leon Kennedy, a rookie cop meet in a gas station and agree to meet at the police station to see if they can get some answers.
They won't stay down.
The game is separated into two separate, but connecting scenereos, Leon’s and Claire’s. Once you get through one, you have to go through the other to get the full story. Depending on which you choose first, it will be a bit different. The second character’s story, regardless of whether it is Leon or Claire, will be shorter.

Claire meets a young girl, Sherry Birkin being chased by a mutant for unknown reasons. Once they are safe from the creature, Police Chief Irons kidnaps Sherry and tells Claire to give him a pendant Sherry dropped or he would kill the child. Before Irons can harm Sherry though, the mutant kills him, but knocks Claire unconscious in the process. Claire is soon found by Annette, Sherry’s mother. Annette tells Claire that the creature that’s been chasing them is her husband and Sherry’s father, William. William infected Sherry with the same virus he has, the G-Virus, but Annette is able to give her the vaccine before dying due to injuries from William. Before boarding the train out of Racoon City, William attacks again, but Claire fends him off.

Leon also has several fights with William throughout his time in the station, luckily he had FBI Agent Ada Wong with him to help him. She wants to help expose Umbrella for causing this outbreak. Not everyone is happy to have Ada there though, Annette finds them in the sewer and shoots at Ada, but hits Leon instead. While Leon is resting, Ada chases Annette, but is soon trapped, luckily Leon found her just in time. Leon meets up with Annette after a fight with William where she tells him that Ada isn’t an FBI Agent like she said, but a mercenary trying to get the virus to sell to the highest bidder. Leon confronts Ada and she comes clean and demands he give her the virus. Before she dies, Annette shoots Ada and she seemingly falls to her death. Leon finally gets to the train, but William is there for another fight, which Ada gladly helps with, by giving Leon a rocket launcher.
After William is dealt with again and with Claire, Sherry, and Leon on the train, William tries a final time to take the trio out. They dislodge the train with William and he goes down with his lab. Claire, Leon, and Sherry vow to take down Umbrella no matter what it takes.
