After the city of Terragrigia is attacked by terrorist organization Il Veltro using a biological weapon (BOW), Federal Bioterrorism Commission (FBC) agents Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat oversee the evacuation of the city before it’s destroyed. After the city’s destruction the two join the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (BSAA).
BSAA agents Jill Valentine and Parker are sent to investigate reports of BOWs near the former Terragrigia on the ship the Queen Zenobia, but soon get intel that BSAA agents Chris Redfield and Jessica went missing near their location. The intel turned out to be a trap. Chris and Jessica meanwhile have discovered that Il Veltroa is still operating out of an airstrip in the mountains. They learn that Jill and Parker have been captured and go to on a rescue mission, meanwhile agents Quint Cetcham and Keith Lumley head to the airstrip.
Jill, what are you doing here?
While Chris and Jessica are on their way to the ship, Jill and Parker escape, but run into FBC agent Raymond Vester who won’t explain why he’s there. After discovering that Il Vetro plans to release a new strain of the T-virus called the T-Abyss, Jill and Parker reunite with Chris and Jessica. Before splitting up again, Raymond confronts the group, but is shot by Jessica. Chris and Jill team up and go looking for the lab that created the new virus, leaving Jessica to sulk over losing her partner to Jill. After finding a way to neutralize the virus, FBC Director Lansdale contacts them revealing that he has been working with the terrorist group to increase funding and influence. Meanwhile Raymond tells Parker that Jessica is a mole for the FBC, which makes her trigger the self destruct sequence on the ship and escapes.
Chris and Jill get off the ship before it explodes and BSAA head O’Brian explains that he was behind everything they went through to get evidence of Lansdale’s criminal activity. With his admission though, Lansdale arrests O’Brian, while Chris and Jill head to a sunken sister ship looking for incriminating evidence against Lansdale. Il Vetro’s leader is on the sunken ship, having survived Terragrigia by taking the T-Abyss virus. With newly found evidence, Chris and Jill are able to take down Lansdale, free O’Brian, and disolve the FBC. It’s revealed that Rymond, Parker, and Jessica have survived and Jessica now has possession of the virus after Raymond gives her a sample.
