Day of the Tentacle Remastered was developed by Double Fine Productions was released in 2016 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Windows and OS X. In 2020 an Xbox One version of the game was released. The original Day of the Tentacle (also known as Maniac Mansion II: Day of the Tentacle), was released in 1993 by LucasArts.

I loved Day of the Tentacle growing up. I played a lot of Maniac Mansion and most of the LucasArts. This game is exactly the same as the original, but the graphics have been updated to be HD.

The only playable character from the first game that appears is Bernard, but the whole Edison family is back and they are just as nutty as they were in the first game. The green and purple tentacles are also back and the purple one has evolved with new arms that allows him to carry out his plans for world domination.
