Day of the Tentacle is an adventure game developed and published by LucasArts. The game was released on June 25, 1993 for MacOS and MS-DOS. It was remastered by Double Fine Productions and released on March 22, 2016 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Windows and OS X. The game was ported to iOS and Linux on July 11, 2016. On October 29, 2020 an Xbox One version of the game was released. The game is a sequel to Maniac Mansion.
Day of the Tentacle Remastered
Years after the events of Maniac Mansion, Purple Tentacle has mutated and has grown arms. With these new appendages, he has vowed to take over the world. In a desperate plea for help, Dr. Fred sends for his old friend Bernard Bernoulli. Bernard and his two friends, Hoagie and Laverne rush over to Fred’s place and are soon in the middle of Fred’s crazy plan to stop Purple Tentacle
Bernard, what are you doing in there with Dr. Fred?
Fred sends Hoagie to the past and Laverne to the future. After manipulating the past to change the future, eventually the trio are all back in one time period with a bunch of Purple Tentacles from various points in time. Once the tentacle is defeated once and for all, the three return to the present, where Dr. Fred kicks them out of his house.
