My mother can’t figure out how to use her cellphone. She has had the same type of phone for over ten years and still she can’t seem to place a call on the first try without first messing something up, hitting the wrong number, or going into another option on the phone. The problem is that even though the phone is essentially the same design from ten years ago, it has gotten much smaller than the original model and the buttons and screen have gotten smaller along with the phone.
I told her about the Jitterbug a few months ago and she certainly was interested in a larger phone. She doesn’t use the phone like a young person would, so having only 60 minutes a month wouldn’t be bad for her, in fact if they offered less than that then it would probably be better, but 60 minutes for $20 a month isn’t a bad deal, especially for the amount of time she would use it. I think that she might switch over to one when her current contract runs out. I might buy her the lanyard that goes around her neck since she would most likely throw it in her purse and not be able to find it when it rings. If it is n a string, even if its in her purse she would just need to pull the string and out comes the phone.
