I need new glasses and I don’t have insurance, so what I might do is get them from zennioptical. They have really good priced glasses, I just need to get the prescription, or better yet get an eye exam. It isn’t a totally far fetched idea, I just need the money for my prescription. I wonder if I can call up where I got it before and request that information? It’s worth a shot.
E3 2008 is one week away. Last year Nintendo announced the Wii Fit, this year I am hoping that they announce more compatible games for it, like Tony Hawk. Bungie has been hinting at E3 in their latest podcast, so maybe we will hear about a new game from them, or maybe see something from the Peter Jackson Halo project. I know I am going to definitely be checking out every bit of Halo Wars screen videos there are, though I don’t know how well an RTS is going to be on the 360.
I am also hearing rumors that Microsoft will reveal a motion sensored controller similar to the Wiimote, so maybe that will be announced. I just hope none of the big three announce a new console because the console wars are still going strong and taking it to another level would be horrible in this economy.
Krissy says that my car is making some odd noises and starting to die. Now while my Beretta isn’t my first car, it is the car that has lasted me the longest. As of right now we are on vacation so hopefully we will be able to make it back home safely, if not we may need to figure out a way to do a car rental, but that might be difficult considering you need to be at least 25. Advantage is having a 50% discount on Luxury and Convertible car rentals, I hope they have that when I turn 25 because I might just rent a convertible for the hell of it.
The place we were looking into has been rented out so we need to come up with somewhere else to live. Since I am sick I haven’t really been out much, I have been mainly sleeping, but I don’t want to do that today since I have some work to do. I am kind of happy that the place isn’t available, it was kind of small and there wouldn’t be a place to have Sectional Sofas, which I find to be the most comfortable. When have you ever seen Sectional Sofas where you don’t just sink in and can fall asleep? Plus they are good because if you do fall asleep, someone else can still be sitting on it too. I guess we are going to have to keep looking for a place, there might be a few out east, but they’d be more expensive. I guess we’d just need to wait and see.
I have been sick the last few days. I think I have a sinus infection, but I have no money to go to a doctor and I don’t have insurance, so that is out. If we lived someplace else, like Canada, Cuba, France, England then we’d have a universal heathcare system would have insurance, but because we live in the greatest country in the world we have no form of universal healthcare. Are we not entitled to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness? If we do not have health insurance doesn’t that threaten our ability to live and the ability to pursue happiness?
I saw Beast with a Billion Backs last night and it was good, I don’t think it was anywhere near as good as the first movie, but I liked it. I checked out the preview on the DVD for the next movie, and it looks like it is going to be Dungeons and Dragons based, which is all right. I heard the last one is going to tie up a lot of loose ends, in case they don’t make anymore after it. My guess is that it will involve Nibbler and possibly the Brains and what is meant by when Nibbler said to Fry that she must be the other. If it doesn’t tie that up, then I don’t know what is going to happen.
I was looking at the 5.11 Tactical gear and I realized that I really like boonie hats. Not just tactical ones, anyone really, I always have. I used to have a couple, but I don’t know what happened to them. I was actually looking at one yesterday in the supermarket, and I was thinking about picking it up. Now that I know what they are called, I can be on the lookout for them more often. Up until today I didn’t know they were called boonie hats. I might order the tactical one though, they come in a variety of colors, but I would pick one up in black.
I find it funny when people on forums start fighting for no good reason. Eventually it escalates to the point of I will kick your ass, then it gets even more juvenile with people building up a posse against the other person. Why can’t they just let it go?
I find this behavior isn’t limited to just forums, but also on Xbox Live. Usually it is exhibited by teenagers, but occassionally you will find adults acting so childish. I wish people would just grow up already.
I would like to take Krissy on a Regent Seven Seas Cruise, but money is so tight right now that in order to go we would need to save up a couple months without buying anything. Fortunately though, things might be looking up in the near future, or so it seems and I hope it continues to seem that way into a reality. Then maybe around October we could possibly go on a cruise or something, just to get away and figure stuff out. What better way to think than to get away from it all, away from everything, and have fun on a cruise right?
I am trying to install a PHP module that will give me access to zip functions in PHP. I need this so I don’t need to keep uploading individual pictures, but so far I am lost on how to even go about installing it. There are the Dreamhost instructions and the module instructions, and it is supposed to take less than an hour, but I still don’t know what I am doing. I guess I just need to read and experiment until it works right?
I do not agree with the views Glenn Beck, for one I think Bush is an idiot and for seven years he was giving Bush the benefit of the doubt. Secondly I don’t think I have much in common with Conservatives at all, I am more Liberal than Conservative, but I think I am more in the Socialist, Communist territory. While I don’t like the idea of the Government knowing your every move, I do like where the government takes care of you through Social outlets, like Universal Healthcare and whatnot. I am toward Communism because I think that as an idea Communism is great, but when practiced it fails miserably. I guess I am a Socialistic, Communistic Liberal with a hint of Conservative, even though I don’t want to admit the Conservative part.
While I do not agree with Glen Beck, I do enjoy listening to his views and what he thinks is wrong with the country. It is nice to get an outsiders opinion on the issues. He is having a show in Dallas on July 17th which is going to be broadcasted to select movie theaters that day. I might see if I can see the show on that date, depending on if there is a movie theater showing it near me or not.
Krissy and I went over to Microcenter yesterday and I saw all of the Mac stuff they had. A lot of them had real mice and keyboards hooked up to them and not the defaut ones that are so small I feel like I am going to break it. They had a better music keyboard that hooked up to the Mac than they had last time and if I had the money I would buy it, unfortunately I don’t have the money right now so it is going to have to wait. Being on this for the last week made me realize what a good machine it is and I definitely want a Mac now. I just need to pay off the first one before I can even think about getting a second one.
