The recipes section is doing okay for a part of the site that hasn’t been indexed by search engines yet, and I am surprised since I haven’t really begun advertising it yet. Hopefully it keeps gaining more exposure.
On Saturday Kris and I bought some new toys. With Kris trying to go back to school she needed a laptop she could take with her wherever she went in order to do school work. She ended up picking up an HP netbook. She isn’t the only one who picked up a new toy though, I picked up a Wacom Bamboo tablet. Last year I did a few daily sketches and I am hoping to get a section up for sketches soon, but before I do I want to get more used to the tablet. I am thinking about finishing up that Superman artwork with it, or sketch something then color it and shade it with the tablet. So far I can say that using it in Photoshop is a lot easier than using a mouse.
On Sunday Kris and I are heading down to NJ for a Super Bowl party at my father’s. He has a high definition 62″ television, so add that to the fact that we will probably head down early and get Denny’s for lunch, it is well worth the trip. It only takes about two hours to get down there, so it shouldn’t be too bad, hopefully traffic won’t be too bad on the way down or on the way back. It would mean more if the Jets could have actually made it into the game though, I guess there’s always next year.
I am getting really tired of saying there’s always next year. Come on Jets, make it all the way already.
I’m a Browns fan. It’s been next year for us since ’64. ๐
I’m looking forward to seeing your sketches. I also like drawing so I think it’s interesting seeing other people’s drawings. I’m quite jealous of you getting a wacom tablet. I want one myself but can’t afford one right now. Is drawing with a tablet very different from drawing with real pen and paper?
You asked about what I study. I take three classes; CSS-based web design, JavaScript and Document Object Model and Flash animation.
It’s not very different, but you have to get used to looking straight and not looking at the drawing with the pen on it, kind of like playing the Wii.
Ooh, a drawing tablet, you say? I’m quite jealous!
I myself have wanted a tablet ever since I first heard about them, but unfortunately, I don’t think it’d be the most sensible thing for me to purchase … Because while I do enjoy drawing, I don’t think I do it often enough to make spending the money worthwhile!
๐
However, I can’t wait to see some your sketches … I didn’t even know that you drew! ๐
I did a few sketches last year. I am thinking about putting them up in their own section once I have enough done. I need to get used to the tablet though.
I like the recipe section, as I am always looking for new ideas for dinner. I am jealous over the high definition 62รขโฌยณ television (even though it’s yours). I really, really want a new big screen tv!
Yea, that is a lot bigger than the 32″ we have in our bedroom. I can’t figure out where to put a 62″ television, I don’t have a wall big enough.
That’s Cleveland’s yearly mantra–“There’s always next year!”
They did play a good game this season though, I think that’s the day it got so cold that hell froze over for a minute.
I wish that I have a free day’s off.
I really need to start saving up for a new laptop. My Toshiba has cranky days and the L key likes to fall off and it is just all around starting to lose it’s luster.
We’re watching the Super Bowl too & there will be a lot of Viking-fan bitterness in the air I’m afraid.
I’d love to see your sketches.
Wow it’s so awesome that you got a tablet! I hope to get one when I have enough funds *means 10++ more years! XD* and also experiment :p I suck at drawing but I like to draw ideas! ๐ hehee
Hope you can share your sketches! I think HP laptops are okay ๐
A tablet? That’s really awesome! I don’t draw enough to get one though. If I won the lottery though… lol.
Can’t wait to see some of your drawings! ๐
Are those the same jets as in “Benny & The Jets?”
Just joshing, of course.
I cannot sketch. I admire those who can.
And a 62″ tv must be ‘way awesome to behold!
All I could think of when I read this is that how i met your mother episode where Lily stays with Barney and he has a tv the size of his wall and she goes “it hurts my eyes” and he goes “yeah, that never goes away”.
Thanks for stopping by my blog – I look forward to perusing the recipe section.
I hope you enjoyed your game and Denny’s. I have only been there for breakfast, but it’s pretty darn delicious in my opinion. I really would like to try your ground beef turnovers. Those sound delicious!
