Return to Monkey Island is a point and click adventure game developed by Terrible Toybox. It was published by Devolver Digital in association with Lucasfilm Games for macOS, Nintendo Switch, and Windows on September 19, 2022. The game was ported to Linux on October 26, 2022. On November 8, 2022, the game was released on Playstation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Android and iOS got the game on July 27, 2023.

One day Guybrush is telling him and Elaine’s son, Boybrush, about how he found the secret of Monkey Island.
The story starts when Guybrush learns that LeChuck had a map of the location of the secret. Guybrush travels to Melee Island to look for a crew, but comes up empty handed. He forms a new plan to disguise himself and stowaway on LeChuck’s ship. After stealing the map, he accidentally exposes himself to LeChuck and is thrown overboard, but washes up on Monkey Island.

Guybrush uses the map leads to a safe that is locked by five golden keys. He goes off solving clues and leaving destruction in his wake in order to find these keys. Once he gets the last key, Guybrush opens the safe only to find a locked chest inside. LeChuck suddenly appears and steals the chest. He takes it to perform a ritual to open it and get the secret.
Guybrush follows LeChuck to deep below Monkey Island to a door. Upon opening it, Guybruh comes to a theme park recreation of Monkey Island. The secret of Monkey Island has finally been revealed, it’s been a theme park the whole time. Boybrush doesn’t like this ending though. He questions just how true the secret is. Elaine arrives soon after and invites Guybrush to join her on a new adventure.
