In July 1947, a weather balloon apparently crashed into the New Mexico desert, near Roswell. First the papers reported that it was an alien spacecraft. Not 24 hours later they changed their tune to the idea that it was a weather balloon. So what really did happen 60 years ago?
Walter Haut, the press office for the Roswell Military base claimed in 1947 that the incident was a weather balloon. Mr. Haut died in December of 2005, leaving behind affidavits, which were recently opened. These documents reveal that it wasn’t a weather balloon that crashed that night, but a spacecraft. Not only does he claim to have seen the spacecraft, but he claims to have seen the occupants as well.
Sixty years has passed, are we one step closer to knowing the truth about the Roswell crash of 1947? And what if there are aliens out there, has the government tried to make contact with them? Only time will tell for certain.
