Venom Movie

The WGA and Marvel solved their dispute a few weeks ago, and why shouldn’t they? The comic book industry is half writers and the other half are illustrators, so it makes sense that they would be the first ones to settle their differences. Since then it has been reported that the Venom spinoff movie is moving along nicely. I can’t wait for it, but I hope they make some much needed changes in the movie that should have been in Spiderman 3.

First he needs to have the tongue. That is partly what makes Venom, Venom. Secondly, if Spiderman is in the movie then have it explain how Venom can fight him without being sensed, and why he has all the powers of Spiderman.

They should continue the story after Spiderman 3 and not start over. Maybe right before the explosion Venom swung off, maybe Brock Eddie Brock Jr. is dead, but Eddie Brock Sr. gets the symbiote (a stretch I know), but don’t have it start over. I think it would be cool to see maybe Iron Man show up and use some sonar on him like he did in the cartoon.

In any case, I am anxiously awaiting this movie.

Lifelock

Identity theft in America seems to be getting worse, not better. Everyday people get their identities stolen and they may end up owing companies thousands of dollars for purchases they never made. With lifelock you could give people your social security number and not have to worry about anything. They will protect your identity so that you can live your life not worrying if somebody will steal it. Imagine not having to worry about losing a credit card, or someone taking credit card offers out of your mailbox. Credit cards can be thrown away without being cut up, saving you time and effort. Piece of mind like that is priceless in my opinion.

Spiderman 4 Going Ahead

Once the writer’s strike is over James Vanderbilt is going to have a job writing Spiderman 4. He is a huge fan of the Spiderman fanchise as a comic book and as a movie, so I think if he can go ahead and make a good story then it will be for the best. Who knows, maybe Venom will be back and we could have a Maximum Carnage type story line going on? One can only hope.

8 Dollar Prescription Glasses

Not having insurance sucks. You have to pay for your own medical bills, unless you have charity care, but dental and vision don’t offer such luxuries, so you are pretty much screwed in those departments. I mean the minimum amount you spend for glasses is well over a hundred dollars once the prescription is filled and the frames are picked. Well I have made a Great Discovery: Zenni Optical. Zenni Optical has glasses starting at $8 with all the extras you pay for at those retail stores. You get scratch resistant lenses free.

I think Best Thing Found: Zenni Optical is a great way to describe the service because when you have no money and you need glasses then it really is the best thing in the world. If you need glasses then check outZenni Optical $8 Rx Glasses.

Giants Win…What?

I didn’t expect the Giants to win the Superbowl last night. I mean I don’t think anyone did. They weren’t exactly the favorite, and they didn’t exactly have the best streak at all, so how did it happen? I don’t know. Maybe the old man sold his soul to the devil to get the Giants to the championship. Now if only someone could sell their soul to get an all New York Superbowl next season.

Big Team Battle

One of my favorite playlists from Halo 2 and 3 is now ranked. They put up a ranked Big Team Battle last night without my knowledge and I found out today in the Bungie weekly update. I was dissappointed that this didn’t ship with it, but now that it is available I am happy. I just hope that it is more stable than when Halo 2 Big Team Battle Ranked was up.

Bring the Online Gambling Back

I have been to a lot of casinos since being with Krissy. Between the ones in Delaware and then Atlantic City, we seem to go to one every few months. I’m not saying we are addicted to gambling, but going to a casino every now and then is a nice little getaway, even if you lose money.

I was watching the Daily Show the other night and there was a professor on who was trying to get online gambling to be legal in the United States again. I would love to play on a casino online, I would be able to concentrate better with my music playing and I wouldn’t have to worry about my face giving anything away. I would probably win more at poker online than in an actual casino, and isn’t that what it’s all about?

How To

I mainly learn by doing. Before doing something though I like to read all about it so that I have an idea about what I do, this way I won’t be jumping in head first without any idea on what to do. I read a lot of how to guides whenever I am going to be doing something new, like wiring something or fixing something.

I have sent tutorials through the article submission a few times, nothing really that I had to look up, but stuff that I already knew how to do. Stuff like the tutorials on this site, or other things users might not know how to do. It is a good feeling to help other people do things they may not know how to do.

Jump in and Play

I love Assassin’s Creed. Halo 3 is great. Mass Effect I haven’t opened yet, but it looks amazing. Aside from Halo 3, all the other games I need time to sit down and play. I want to pick up some jump in and play games, like Burnout Paradise and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I just need to get some money first.

Distorted Pennies

Every time we go up to New York or New Jersey we stop at some truck stop on the New Jersey Turnpike and I always see those machines where you put a penny in and it comes out looking like an elongated coin. I got a few of them in the past, but I don’t have them anymore. I like to use a hand cranked penny machine instead of an electrical one because it makes me feel like I made it and not a machine. I usually get one every few years or so just as a novelty. I add it to my collection of other novelty items that seem to disappear after a few months like my name on rice.

The Pacifier

I am watching the Pacifier with Vin Diesel and it is better than I would have ever thought. It has a plot very similar to Mr. Nanny with Hulk Hogan, but it is enjoyable. I didn’t think that Vin could be a comedic actor, but this proves me wrong. It’s just too bad that this movie probably ruined his career. Maybe he will be in Fast and Furious 4 to get his career started up again.

Auto Repair

Little by little I have been learning how to do simple things to my car. I can now change the oil (although paying such a small fee to get that done isn’t much of a loss), change my brake pads, and a few other things. For the most part the auto parts are pretty cheap, when you take it to a mechanic, it is the labor that will kill you. If you look on the bill, car parts are usually around half or less than half of the bill, while labor takes up the most. So by learning on my Chevy how to do things, I can do things on other American cars like Fords and Dodges. Since their domestic, ford auto parts cost around the same as Chevy’s so if I get a Ford as my next car I will know what to expect.
