I decided that I want fan signs. I don’t know what brought this on, but I would like people to send me fan signs. I don’t know if I will actually get any, but it is worth a shot right? I love New York. I am not talking about the state itself, I am talking more specifically the city. I may be living in the country and no one who has lived in the country their entire lives and haven’t gone anywhere else (like the people here) understand my fascination with the city, but if they could see New York one time in the holiday season, then they would understand.
There was a time a few years ago that I would take a train and travel in to Grand Central Station, one time in particular was during the Rockafeller Tree Lighting. I rode up and had to pass the Macy’s holiday window displays. They always do these amazing displays that takes almost nine months of planning, but it always turns out great. After that I walked along until I got to where I needed to be and was standing right in front of it. There isn’t anything like standing in front of that tree right when it is being lit. Yes there are tree lightings down here, but the tree isn’t as big and their is just some magic missing that New York seems to have.
I absolutely love New York City, but there are some places I haven’t been but I would love to go. The problem is that with the one way streets and tall buildings, everything is just so confusing. I would love to see all of the tourist attractions one day, using Trusted Tours and Attractions. What better way to see the major sights than with a professional touring company, especially when you sign up for a Trusted Travel eNewsletter, you are automatically entered to win an Ipod. After the tour though I would stop and get something that you can only get in New York, good pizza.
Don’t let other places fool you, New York is the birthplace of the pizza, and hence can do it the right way each and every time.
The Rock Band’s microphone sounds a lot better in my computer than my previous mic, so I am going to be using that one from now on. It is better anyway because it is USB so I can just plug it into the front whenever I need it and that is one less thing that is on my desk. There is already an overabundance of things on my desk as it is so one less thing is good.
I also plugged in the Rock Band drum set and it seems to have worked, I just need to figure out how to make it work with some recording software. Who knows maybe I will be able to put up some beats for people like ComradF, or something. I am not really sure what I would use it for.
I am thinking of upgrading to Windows Vista. One of the reasons is so that I can earn Achievements in Halo 2 Vista. I would also like to be able to say that I have the latest version of Windows. I actually feel out of date if I don’t have the latest version of software. I know I can get cheaper versions of any Microsoft software with CostCaptain. They provide authentic products to students and teachers so that you can save money while having the latest products. Microsoft Office 2007 for $129 and Windows Vista Upgrade from $89 is definitely not a bad price compared to what you would pay in a retail location.
As I have said before, Foundry is one of the best Forge maps out there, because everything in it is Forge based and therefore can be moved or removed. It is amazing to see the maps that some people can create, or recreate in some cases. Midship and Ascension from Halo 2 have been made from Foundry. Of course it isn’t the same as Midship, but it is about as close as we can hope for unless Bungie releases them in a future update. When I say it is close, I mean it is close, from the gravity lifts under the bridge, to the two bases for Capture the Flag and Assault. It is a good damn copy if you ask me.
We have out an eight thousand dollar personal loan. It is fine, it was able to get us some things that we needed, and will hopefully continue to get us more things as time goes on. Loans are a good thing, whether they are Unsecured loans, Homeowner loans, or even just a simple credit card because they allow you to buy the things you want right now while paying for them over time. It is important not to get sucked in though, sometimes loans can be evil. WHat I mean is that if you aren’t careful you could wind up owing more than you could ever possibly afford to pay back. I am hoping that I will be able to pay back my loans soon, but by sending more than the minimum payment, I think it will be possible.
I am downloading the new Halo 3 maps as I type this. I have hit a little snag in work today, everything that I had done might need to be undone if what I was told a few minutes ago is how I understand it. It sucks, but it does give me time to play Halo as I wait for some clarification. I will give my review of the new maps once I play them, hopefully IO can find someone to play custom games with as they won’t be available in multiplayer until next week or so.
Christmas shopping is done for the most part. I probably spent way too much than I should have, but it was worth it. I wish I would have used more coupons though, especially when I was shopping at Amazon. I could have purchased Krissy’s Mac at Amazon and then saved some money, but I didn’t think about it. I have shopping to do, but that is personal shopping.
See I really need a new pair of shoes, I would like a sneaker that is comfortable and stylish. I’d also like to pick up a shoe that is kind of dressy. I will probably see if I can find a ShoeBuy coupon to save some money on shoes. Every little bit counts right?
When your in Atlantic City it is easiest to get around by bus. If you have a room number and a Total Rewards card then you can go to any of the Harrah’s Casinos in Atlantic City for free. We were on the bus going to Harrah’s and the bus driver looked exactly like Dave Chapelle. He wasn’t the only celebrity lookalike around though, the waiter in the Harrah’s restaurant sounded like Martin Lawrence, and one of the waiters in Showboat who I got a couple beers from looked like Matt LeBlanc, AKA Joey from Friends. Yesterday at Caesar’s I swear that I saw Yoko Ono walking around, rose colored glasses and all.
Celebrity lookalikes are running a muck in Atlantic City, isn’t anyone going to stop them?
I think we need a vacation that doesn’t involve gambling. This way we aren’t putting money into something that will most likely not give us back what we put into it. I think a nice vacation to some place warm would be nice. Not around Christmas, after Christmas, afterall you can’t have Christmas with palm trees. I am thinking of some place like Amelia Island.
They have a Lodging Special going on right now where you can pay for two nights and get the third night free. At this point anything free would be very much appreciated and welcomed.
Did you know that Amelia Island was voted one of the top ten islands in America? I mean why wouldn’t it be with the golf courses, and the great food there. I wouldn’t really care about any of that, I just want to go somewhere and lay around and relax. We didn’t get to do much of that this weekend going from casino to casino trying to win money, but that is why another vacation would be great. A vacation where I can lay out by the pool or go swimming or just lay down relax and read a book would be great. Maybe one day it will happen.
For the second time in a row going to Atlantic City, we lost money. On the night before we were going to leave I was winning on video poker, and yesterday I was up to $60 from a $5 bet on blackjack, but it wasn’t enough, we are still down significantly. It sucks, I was really hoping we would win a thousand dollars or so, but it looks like it just wasn’t meant to be.
We are going away tomorrow to Atlantic City. I don’t think we are taking any laptops with us so I am going to have time to just sit in the hotel room and relax. A few days off of just rest and relaxation is just what I need to take my mind off things. I am going to try and take some photos/video from the casinos, especially the corridors, but I don’t know what the rules are on photography inside. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
