I want to Trade

I think I could make money if I got into stock trading. I have been thinking about it for a while, after all I keep up with the latest news on video game companies and I have a pretty good feeling what games are going to good and what games won’t, so I think I would do pretty well. I would probably invest in Activision, EA, and Rockstar because they seem to have the most going for them right now, although EA and Activision might have merged in the last few weeks, I am not quite sure. If I was trading though I would have paid more attention to what the two are doing and how well I think each game they produce is going to do.

I am also interested in currency trading. To trade money with another country and get a better exchange rate than is the norm would be great. If I were to start currency trading I would use Forex Trading. With Forex trading everything is in real time and I can compete with other traders so I get the best price. I really think I would be pretty good at trading, I just need to sit down and plan out a strategy. After that though, I am seriously considering entering the trading game. Maybe I could start low with under a hundred dollars and work my way up, I don’t know though, but anything is possible with currency trading.

Halo 3 Playlist Update

I was playing Halo 3 last night and I noticed the new playlists were up. There is Team Hardcore and Team Control. Team Hardcore is as close to Major League Gaming as you can get in a Halo game. It provides different starting weapons, different weapons on the maps, and is much harder than a run of the mill slayer type game. In Team Control you are basically playing games that you control land, or territories, like Land Grab or King of the Hill. Both of these game types are welcomed additions ad help bridge the gap of what was missing from the beginning in Halo 3.

Buying Lists

The polls I have on my website serve a purpose. They allow me to see what the main demographics of my website are. For example I can tell you that a majority of my visitors are female from the middle of the eastern side of the Unites States and are between the ages of 18 and 24 years of age. Why is this information important? Well now that I know that I can start making content revolving around those kinds of visitors. I can even start advertising to visitors like that type. How do you advertise to specific types of visitors? Why through email marketing.

What you do is find consumer lists that offer an email marketing based system for what you want. A lot of places have stuff like age, gender, location, length of residence, income and many others to choose from. In this case we would want to find it for women on the Eastern Seaboard who are just over the age of 18 but under 25. If we could select individual states that would be good too, since a lot of my visitors are focused in and on those states that are part of and bordering the Delmarva Peninsula.

On my end for content the information helps me because I know that my visitors who come are women. That means I wouldn’t want to put up anything that might change that demographic, if that was where I wanted to be. If for say I wanted to appeal more to guys then I might put up some pictures of women who are wearing almost nothing, but because I am happy with the demographic and see nothing wrong with it then I don’t think anything drastic needs to change. Women are the majority, but that doesn’t mean that men are missing completely, after all the polls only cover the main site, the fanlistings are completely different and the polls don’t cover them at all.

The Winterfest Lights

We went to the light show last night. I am unsure of how anything came out, some of the pictures might have come out good on the video camera, but on Krissy’s camera I am really unsure. We have to look at everything tonight and decide and then maybe tomorrow I will have some pictures up. I took a video of the whole thing, so even if I just take some movie stills, it will be all right. I should hopefully have something up before Monday, I just need to get some work done first before I go into anything personal.

Leaving in a Few

We’ll be leaving in a few minutes to go to Winterfest, I just had to finish up some things here. When I come home I will need to work, but hopefully Krissy will unload any photos taken tonight on her computer. I just hope something comes out, after all it is dark out. I’ll be back in a few hours, hopefully with something to show for it.

Mohamad Zein’s Channel

I like watching online videos. A lot of times there are things online that you would never see on television. I found one video channel on MetaCafe that has a lot of cool videos, especially one that I love that involves Super Smash Brothers Brawl. It is Mohamad Zein's Channel and he does videos for just about anything you can imagine. If you have a chance go there and check him out.

Light Show

We are going to be heading down to Ocean City today for the Winterfest Light Show. It is the second biggest Christmas light display, second only to Disney. It should be pretty cool, it was the last few years. We’ll try and get some pictures, but there’s no promising seeing as how they might not come out with the very low light.

Hunting

Someone asked if I wanted to go hunting with them so I have been looking up the gear that I will need to buy if I go. Aside from a gun, I think I would need to buy Hunting Blinds. Now I always thought that these were freestanding structures in the woods, but I guess it would make more sense that they were much like tents. I don’t know if I am going to go, I still need to price stuff to see if I can afford it, but it might be a possibility.

Downloading Messages

Krissy got her email set up on the Mac and I am in the middle of setting up my email accounts on this computer through Thunderbird. I didn’t realize I had so many messages on GMail. After they are all downloaded I need to go through my Optimum Email account. I don’t really use that one, but some people still email me there for some reason.

Custom T-Shirts

Do you want custom t-shirts? Do you have some function coming up that t-shirts would be a perfect souvenir? Say you have a fraternity reunion and you want custom fraternity t-shirts for everyone attending to have to take home to remember it, well now you can get them easier than ever. It isn’t just fraternity t-shirts, you can get anything printed up. Have a family reunion coming up? Print a t-shirt. Have a catch phrase? Print a t-shirt. Custom t-shirts are fun for the whole family. There is no longer a need to go out and constantly try and find a t-shirt you once loved, just make a new one. I am thinking about getting one to wear and advertise Lep’s Lair with.

Playing the Drums

As I was waiting for Dreamweaver to install I decided to play around on Krissy’s Mac. I was able to hook up the Rock Band drum kit and play the drums on the Mac. You can set it up to be any kind of drum kit you can possibly think of. I am happy that I got it working because a lot of the things I read said that it couldn’t be done with the 360 version, or people were having problems with it. I don’t really know what I will be doing with this new found knowledge, but maybe I will record some beats.

Change the Hosting

My web host is really bothering me. My website is constantly going up and down and for what I am paying now I can pay someone else for much better Web Hosting Services. With them they guarantee 99% uptime. No more going to Lep’s Lair and hoping that my website loads, I know that it would be up no matter what.I can get 7gigabytes of space and 150 gigabytes of bandwidth each month and not pay a penny more than I already am. Combine that with the 99% uptime and I am seriously thinking of switching over.

If I wanted to switch to a Windows server I could also do that with this new host. A Windows server will allow me to code in ASP. I don’t know ASP, but I did dabble in it a few years ago before I knew PHP even existed. It wouldn’t really provide anything that I can’t do in PHP, but it would allow me to know how to code in ASP so that I could take jobs that require ASP.

Switching Web Hosting might be a good idea for the future, but right now I think I am going to stay where I am for various reasons, but I am going to remember that web host just in case.
