My Aunt is Coming

My aunt and her children are coming down from New York. She is still in New Jersey right now and even at the tip of New Jersey it is still an hour and a half drive, so in any case she won’t be here for at least an hour and a half, which is all right by me because no matter what time she comes, I will most likely still be up.

Games on a Projector

I’ve alweays been jealous of people who go to LAN parties like Digital Overload, or any huge party like that. I’ve always wanted to throw something that big, but I don’t know if I will ever get to the point of doing it, hopefully one day. If I ever do, I would make sure to have at least one projector like one from Richmond Projector Rental. I think playing a game like Halo or even something like Hexic would be awesome on a screen that big. Maybe one day I will find out.

I Need a Watermark Program

I used to have a program that allowed you to put a watermark on multiple images at once, well that was last year and I since don’t have it anymore, so I have been scouring the internet looking for a program that allows you to add watermark to images. If any of you graphic artists have something then let me know. FYI I’m looking for a free program.

Clean the Registry

I know a lot about computers, but no matter how much I or anyone else knows about them, we always seem to have problems with them. Whetehr it is crashing, or slow startup times, but there is a solution to some of your computer problems. Registry Repair helps repair your registry to prevent those annoying crashes. The registry is an integral part of your machine that contains information about programs on your computer and even system information itself. If you are the average user, then you probably have never seen it, but trust me repairing the registry can help tremendously in a lot of cases.

For those of you who have a lotprograms that have been removed, but traces are still around, there’s Registry Cleaner. It will clean out your registry so your computer runs smoother and be less filled with stuff you don’t need.

Halo 3 is Done

It is official, Bungie announced today that Halo 3 is complete and it is being sent to the manufacturers to be out in time by September 25th. They thanked everyone involved, and especially the fans for allowing their vision of this epic to come true.

My reaction? WOOOHOOOOOO! As long as the game is done, that means there’s a very small chance of it getting delayed. So I will be able to know how the fight ends on September 25th. I am so excited.

Looking at Used Cars

I’ve had my car for over two years now. I love my car, and it is the most reliable one that I have owned to date, but the truth is that it is over 12 years old and one day it is going to die. I think that day might be soon, although I don’t know and need to take it to a mechanic to find out for sure. In any case I have been looking up Used Cars online. I can’t afford a new card and some Used Cars are almost like new, especially with the warranties some come with nowadays.

My car has been reliable for years, it has gotten me to Ohio, Maryland, New York and all the states in between. It’s been a part of all my road trips and there are some really fond memories in that car. It is strange to say, but the car is part of my memories of things. Like going to Ohio last year, taking pictures while driving may not have been smart, but I did it in the Beretta so it makes it a part of the memory. Does anyone else feel that way about their cars, or am I just crazy? I just hope whatever car I get after this, or after the next one, can give me as many fond memories as this one has.

What is SEO?

With the way my site is dropping on Alexa and all the valuable content that is slowly coming to my site, I think I may eventually hire a Search Engine Optimization Specialist. Search Engine Optimization is key to any site out there, whether it is a blog or a full blown website. What Search Engine Optimization is, is the making your links appear in a search engine at the highest spot possible, which in most cases is the number one spot. A specialist is someone who knows all the ways to get to that top spot and how to use Search Engine Optimization Services. Whether those may be keywords, programs or even Search Engine Advertising , the specialist would know.

I am not considering it yet, however. Why? Well simply because I want this site to grow more first. It has been up for two years and I am still expanding. There are sections I started on and haven’t touched since day one, that I still wish to bring over. Only time will make this site all it could be.

Myspace Profile Parser

For anyone who’s interested in a Myspace Profile Parser or a Myspace Profile retriever, I have added one to my scripts section. I know this isn’t going to be useful to the average user, but a lot of programmers I know have been looking for one, so I decided to throw up a modified version of the one I made. It is very simple and easy to customize so go check it out.

These Kids Today

What is wrong with kids today? Half of them are diagnosed with ADD or ADHD and the other half should be diagnosed with something. You got kids shooting schools and officials saying there was something wrong with him that wee didn’t catch. Then you have all these drug addict and alcoholic teens going to class stoned and / or drunk. I don’t remember that when I was in middle school, and even high school didn’t seem as bad as it is today, I guess that’s why there are so many rehabs like Teen Rehab ECHO MALIBU showing up. At least they are showing up to help kids, and not just showing up to post blame on other people.

What do I mean by that? In today’s society there is a lot of scape goating going on. If a kid shoots up a school parents blame video games. When the Columbine Massacre occured people blamed Marilyn Manson. What kind of a society do we live in that Marilyn Manson and video games are raising children while the parents are at work? Even if that was the case, parents need to take responsibility that either their kid needed help all along and no body saw it, or they were bad parents and just didn’t care.

I think I Love My Wife

Krissy and I watched I think I Love My Wife tonight and as a man who is seriously considering spending the rest of my life with this woman, the movie really made me think. Between the sexless marriage the man was going through, how his wife always told him what he was doing wrong, and the temptress that he always wanted, one thing is certain, if you go to a car show, don’t go to a minivan.

I think a minivan is fine and all, if you are buying a responsible car for your family. You don’t go to a car show, with booth babes and high tech equipment that probably is unsafe to be in a car to look at minivans. Krissy has agreed that if we go to one we find a sports car and if we have kids, we find some way to put them in the trunk. I think that was the saddest part of the movie, the man can’t even go through a midlife crisis without his wife trying to get him to be responsible.

Video Game Tradein

I love video games, as you have probably been able to tell by now. I hate when I go to trade in a game at one of those chain stores that lets you trade in your video games for money or store credit and they give me $5 for it and then sell it for $25. It just doesn’t seem fair. Well I found a website that lets you trade video games directly without the need for the middle man. This game trading website doesn’t involve money, you sell your games for credit and then buy other games you want with that credit. With a website like this, why would anyone go to a chain store again?

I got a New Chair

A few days ago when I went and change my preorder of Halo 3, I stopped into Staples because I needed a new chair. See my other one was leaning and it was really hurting my back, so I bought a brown microfibre one that is supposed to offer better back support.

The chair itself is nice. The back support is taking a little while to get used to. I am sitting up and typing this where I normally would be bent over, but it feels much better than when I was crouched over typeing and programming. I just need to get used to it.
