Reformat

I had to reformat my computer because it got to the point of crawling and would randomly freeze up. It even froze up after I reformatted my harddrive, but after I downloaded the latest drivers from NVidia, everything was fine. I’ve spent the better part of the day reinstalling software and drivers, while seeing if there’s anything we can do about Imagemagick making a tmp file that is too big.

I’m still waiting to hear back from Hotscripts, hopefully I hear something within the next few days regaurding my Myspace Parser.

Park West Gallery

I’ve been really thinking about art a lot lately since my friend Meg is openning up a book store/art gallery in Philadelphia. Now I like art, so much in fact that I have been thinking about taking Krissy to an art gallery or an art museum sometime soon. I’ve found Park West Gallery that features some of the finest paintings that I have seen. I am really impressed by what he does with the bright colors and the way he draws your eye to not just focus on one area of the painting, but the whole thing. There is usually something going on in each section of his paintings and none is just wasted space. Now that is art I am intrigued by.

Adbrite and the Popup

Adbrite assures me that they took down the popup for drivecleaner, yet two weeks later I get the popup again. Adbrite has been pissing me off lately as they have really gone downhill. I just wish I could use Google again, or even Yahoo. And about Dclickads? Well they set it up so you sell through your site, but from what I have seen they don’t let you have a marketplace of network ads like Google or Adbrite, that is the only reason I am not using them.

If you get a popup, then please let me know.

Debt Relief

I think this month might be the month that my bills take a huge leap forward in getting paid. I mean I have had some minor Debt Relief in the past, but my recent purchases have made those null and void. This month, I should be able to pay back what I put on my cards the last few weeks, and then some. If I budget properly, I may even pay one off completely. That would be nice.

For those who are wondering how I did it, I didn’t go through one of those Debt Relief programs, although they do help a lot of people. Instead I just stuck to earning enough money to pay back everything I spent in the month, or I just paid cash and not even looked at my credit cards. By cash I mean one of my bank cards. It is still too early in the month to say how much I can pay back exactly, but it should be quite a bit more than I have in previous months. Now that is going to be relief for me.

Dclickads

I’m always looking for ways to make some more money, without completely ruining the integrity I have for myself or for my website. Well I came across dclickads. They offer inline, text, and banner ads for your website. They seem to offer a lot more than some of the other ones, so you might have a bigger marketplace to deal with, and with them it doesn’t seem like it has to be that obtrusive on your website.

I think I am going to sign up to dclickads and try them out tomorrow. I took some ads off my site recently, and I am going to see if I can make some decent revenue off of them. Maybe I could replace some of my ads with theirs, especially the banner ads. If I can sell banner ads specifically then I won’t have to worry about such little payout per click. I will let you know how they work out.

Home Improvement Marathon

I’ve been watching the Home Improvement Marathon on Nick at Nite the last few nights, I like this show, I just wish they would bring some other shows from this time period to Nick at Nite, like Boy Meets World, or even Growing Pains. I’d even settle for Doogie Houser or the Wonder Years. I mean they are all from the same era right? So why not bring the 90’s television magic to Nick at Nite?

I want to Feature at a Convention

I was a big fan of E3 up until they downgraded it. I am actually a big fan of a lot of conventions, especially when some of my favorite people, or people who represent my favorite things are there, like Comic Con, PAX, or Otakon. If I ever do what I want to do, then maybe I will be featured at one of those places. If I was I would need a trade show booth. I would want one that wasn’t like everyone else’s, I’d want one that really stood out, something that people would remember weeks, months, even years after the convention. I hope one day I can get to be featured at one.

Submitted to Hotscripts

I submitted my Myspace Profile Parser to Hotscripts today. Hopefully it is accepted. If it helps get the word out about the script, then that is good. I am looking to be seen as a serious programmer in the online community. Now if this actually works and I can get the word out about it, then I may put some of my other scripts online and see what happens.

Food…Please

I’m hungry and I don’t know what I want to eat. The only thing that is in the house is pasta, and I will probably just end up eating that.

My aunt left today, but she said she might be back down next week. I’m trying to earn as much money as I can this month because we might go up to Vermont to check out how much we like it up there. There’s this one town that just seems perfect for us, so we want to go up there and check it out.

Christmas Time in the City

Krissy and I have been talking about going to New York this holiday season to see the Christmas tree. Now when I was in New Jersey, this wouldn’t be such a big deal, drive in, or take a train and then see the tree and go home. Now that we’re in Delaware it is a bit more of a hassle.

First we’d need to take a train up there, then we’d need to find a Hotel in New York and leave the next day. Now personally I don’t mind New York. It gets hectic, especially around Christmas time, but it definitely is beautiful, you can’t deny that.

If we did do this, we’d need to check out New York Hotels online first and then book a room. If you don’t book in advance, then you get overcharged. I mean I don’t know, but it would be nice to go up there for an overnight one night after the tree goes up.

I Love Beer

I love beer. It’s my drink of choice whether I am home or out, so I have been thinking about brewing my own for quite a while. It takes a few weeks to brew, but once it is done, it comes out fresh. There is nothing like fresh brewed beer. I’ve been checking out MonsterBrew because they have everything you need to start brewing your own beer. From incrediants, to kits, to the hardware you need to make it, they have it all. They even have books and videos on the subject coming soon, just in case you are curious about brewing your own, but don’t quite know how to start. It really is a one stop shop for all your home brewing needs.

I’m on a Westinghouse

So I am using my new Westinghouse LCD monitor, and I must say for a 20″ monitor that cost me $189, this thing is beautiful. There are no dead pixels, everything is crystal clear. I absolutely love the clarity on it. I still have my secondary CRT monitor and maybe within the next few months, I might buy a 15″ to replace it, if I can find one for a good price. I think I would go with Westinghouse again, this is beautiful.
