The DVD for Frontier(s) comes out a few days after it is released in theaters, so if I don’t go up to Philly then I might have to wait those few days. I just wish that they would change the rules and allow unrated pictures to go in theaters. How much better could movies like Robocop, American Pie, and Clerks have been if they were allowed to go to theaters with an unrated cut of the movie? Tons of people buy the unrated movies because they have stuff in there that they couldn’t get away with under an R rating.
For a Horror movie, it is a given that you will mot likely have an R rating, and if you have less than an R rating then you had better have a good movie. The thing that I don’t understand about the ratings system though is that an R rating is no one under 17 is allowed in. How is that different than an NC-17 rating? Going to see an R rated movie should be for 18 and older, it is only one year and since everyone is an adult the unrated movies should be allowed to be shown. Who are they to say that just because your an adult doesn’t mean you can watch this type of movie in public?
