So I started looking up all the games coming out this year for the Xbox One. I didn’t realize that there were so many that I want to play, Â there’s Titanfall, Watch Dogs, the new Halo, The Division, Metal Gear Solid 5, Project Spark, Elder Scrolls Online, Quantum Break, Tomb Raider, not to mention the games not announced yet, like the much rumored GTA5 for Xbox One, and a new Call of Duty, plus games I’d love to get from Gamefly that came out last year, like Assassin’s Creed 4, Need for Speed Rivals, and NBA 2k14. It’s a lot to play and I don’t remember the 360 having this many games within 12 months from launch. I am not complaining, but I don’t see how I will have time to play all these games, work, and have a new house to take care of.
I really should explore some areas like getting Ritalin again to see if I could focus. I used to be on it as a teenager, but I have been off of it for so long I don’t even know if it is a good choice for me. Â I’m not even sure who I would go to for a prescription since I don’t have a primary doctor and it takes months to get an appointment for anything in this damn state. I don’t think I can go to the hospital with a concentration emergency. “Help me doctor, I have a deadline and a game I need to play, I need me some Ritalin, STAT”, I think they’d call the police on me for being a drug dealer, or put me in the psych ward. Either way it wouldn’t be good. I was thinking about getting Onnit’s Alphabrain, but each bottle gives you 30 pills and you need to take 3 a day. A 10 day supply for $35 is a bit much.
I am saying that we have a house, but really that is just hopeful thinking. They ordered the appraisal on Friday and as of Wednesday have not scheduled it yet. Everyone is getting anxious at this point, we need to know what to tell the sellers, the selling agent is calling our agent almost everyday and my agent is talking to the bank directly trying to find out what is taking so long. It is a very stressful process, I mean getting any other type of loan takes less time, usually under 24 hours, but this type of loan is going to take 60 days minimum. The worst part is that I am not sure if that is 60 days including the wait for the appraisal, or 60 days after the appraisal is done and all the final negotiations are done. Right now with the house, just like the games, it’s a waiting game and I can’t do anything else.
I wish I could just move in and get started on some of the repairs and stuff that is not required by a licensed contractor. Being able to go shopping for furniture or supplies, just to be able to do something to be moving forward. It feels like nothing is getting done and that we’re moving at too slow of a pace for my liking. It really sucks when you’re anticipating something and you can’t do anything to speed up the process.
Buying a house takes time and it’s quite tedious. I know, my dad has been looking for a house for the longest time. He finally found one that everyone liked in a different city – one that was slow paced, and the house is beautiful 113 year old Victorian style two story house. However, my dad’s girlfriend moved in and I moved out. I’m glad I did. Couldn’t stand being treated like Cinderella.
Anyway in regards to your comment: I am on painkillers. The doctor wanted to eliminate it from my system completely and wanted me to go on IBUPROFEN. I told him that we already tried 800 MG of IBUPROFEN. It did NOT work. So he prescribed a step lower than what I was taking. Like really? Thanks. Next time I go in, I will correct him about the results that he told me. A person who has scoliosis doesn’t automatically go back to normal and doesn’t show up as it either. He was taking pictures x-rays of my cyst. Darn doctors -_-. Makes me mad.
I hope things work out for you with the house! It really sucks playing the waiting game, regardless of the situation (be it gaming or a possible home, for example). It also sucks trying to find a doctor. I’ve been trying to find one that’s a good fit for a few years.
Oh gosh I completely understand your battle with video games and life. Because I’m constantly wanting to play new games and try things out, but 1. Xbox games are so expensive. 2. I have no time to go out and get them and also play them!
I was kind of against the whole Xbox One because it just seemed a bit dumb and pointless, but because of all the great games for it I’m becoming really jealous of those who have one. I think I’ll have to start saving up.
Ah, buying a house sounds super stressful. I’m hoping to put it off as long as possible. Possibly just get my own apartment, first. Good luck with everything!
Ooooo, house buying. The single most stressful thing a person can do. Seriously. Did you go with an FHA loan? We did and that took a little longer for us. The bank drags its feet and it’s annoying. I hope the appraisal goes well and that you’re well on your way to closing soon! 🙂
This year seems like a year of gaming with all of these games being released. I tried out the Elder Scrolls Online through beta but it was a bit laggy for me. I hope it’ll be better in the actual gameplay. Need for Speed sounds like a cool game; especially since it has the new gen. mustang in it with the other cars. For some reason, I would’ve thought you would buy the WWE 2k14 XD. Hopefully you will get your hands on all of these games!
Wow, I didn’t know there are pills that are still being used to help people focus. I probably need some of those because of my short attention span.
Good luck with getting a house! It’s a next step in life getting your own place to live. I wish for the best! It’s a slow process but you’ll manage 🙂
Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this website. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very difficult to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and visual appeal. I must say you’ve done a superb job with this. Also, the blog loads super fast for me on Firefox. Outstanding Blog!
This is a fantastic web site, might you be involved in doing an interview regarding just how you designed it? If so e-mail me!
