A while ago Krissy showed me this DVD managing software that was fairly inexpensive. It allows you to write a synopsis, or if you want enter the title of the movie or UPC code and it will find it online and download the details for you. What I thought was cool about it was that you could attach a bar scanner to it and it will read in all the information from the code. Ever since then I have been thinking about getting some ibm pos equipment. A used point of sale system would be great for what I need to do with it, plus Krissy can use it when she mails out invoices and gets back payments, she could just print a bar code on there and then scan it in and it could be read instantly without the need to type anything, or go looking for a file. An NCR point of sale system would really make life easier, but then again anything that is automatic makes life easier doesn’t it?
