Everyone knows that oysters have pearls inside them, but what if they had something that was more valuable? Imagine if a pearl had a diamond inside them. Could you imagine how inexpensive the common diamonds would be? They would no longer be so expensive per karat. Imagine it if even the most common of people could have 3 karat diamond rings. Of course something so common might make them less desirable, even with the way they look. If they were so common would people still want them as presents and for engagement and wedding rings? Being less expensive wouldn’t make them any less visually appealing, but people want something of worth, not just something to look at right? If diamonds were in place of pearls then it might make them less expensive than say crystals or even cubic zirconias.
Of course Gulf oysters don’t have diamonds, although they do have many other things that you might not be aware of. Oysters are a good source of inc, vitamin B-12, and omega-3 fatty acids. While they may be good for you, a percentage of individuals could become seriously ill if the oyster’s disease is transferred to an at risk individual. Of course anyone eating oysters is safe, as long as they are fully cooked, but undercooked ones could potentially cause more harm than good.
