Burnout Paradise

I rented Burnout Paradise from Blockbuster yesterday and I have been playing it a bit. It is a good game, I was familiar with the older ones so I knew what to expect.There were some key surprises in there that I wasn't aware of, like the crash anytime model. There's been a lot of controversy amongst fans regarding the new open city, but I think that adds more of a realistic standpoint to the game. I mean driving on preset courses gets annoying, driving on wide open road where you choose how to get somewhere is a lot better to me. My biggest gripe about the game is that there is no driver. You are driving a car, but there's no driver in the car. There are no people anywhere in the city. That has been my gripe with the Burnout Series in general, so I can't say that I was surprised.
