Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is a fighting game developed and published by nWay. Lionsgate Games and Limited Run Games also co-published the game. The game was released digitally for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2019. On April 2, 2019 it was released for Playstation 4. September 24, 2019 saw it released for Microsoft Windows and finally on June 1, 2020 it was released for Stadia. In November 2019 a Mega Edition was released on physical media for the Switch and PS4. A Super Edition which contained all previous DLC was released digitally on May 25, 2021 with a physical release in August 2021.
Lord Drakkon is an alternate future version of Tommy Oliver. In his universe, Drakkon teamed up with Rita, but double crossed her and killed her along with the Power Rangers. Drakkon arrived at the Command Center and ends up killing the younger Tommy, charging up his Chaos Crystal. Zordon sends a message throughout the Morphin Grid and with Jen Scotts’ help, send other Rangers through time to protect each other from Drakkon.
Kimberly encounters a future version of herself called the Ranger Slayer. Ranger Slayer is freed from Drakkon’s control and goes undercover to avert suspicion. The city is under attack by Drakkon and his army, which includes several other Rangers. Drakkon is going after the Morphin Grid and remake reality. Under Ranger Slayer’s suggestion, the Rangers plan to go to Drakkon’s universe and destroy his tower there. Zordon asks his mortal enemy Rita for her help to stop Drakkon.
Jason takes his team and goes to Drakkon’s Tower. They are attacked by Drakkon and his army. Rita arrives and uses a power draining candle, starts to weaken Drakkon, making him retreat. Trini uises her armor to grow and take out the tower’s antenna. This causes Drakkon to lose control of his army. Rita tries to kill Drakkon, but his subject Finster-5 stops her and the Rangers. He stops Drakkon from using morphers to get his power and army back, saying that it will be fatal if he tries to do so. Tommy is brought back to life by the Chaos Crystal’s powers. Tommy defeats Drakkon and escapes back to his own reality. Zordon thanks all the Rangers and tells Tommy that he will never be anything like Drakkon.
