Call Me

There’s been some confusion to who is in Ohio. Krissy refers to him as my brother and I refer to him as my friend, and some people have asked what he was. Well to clarify he is a friend I have known my whole life and I am closer to him than my own brother, so he is technically both. Now I haven’t been able to get in touch with him and it is really annoying. I wanted to be out there this weekend, but I don’t even know if he is back from Florida yet and he has the key to the place, so he needs to be there. Everytime I call him it says that the subscriber isn’t available. It has gotten to the point that I was asking people in his wife’s family on Myspace if they had seen him, one said she was heading over there today and would let me know what was up, so at least I will know if he’s home.

Garages

I want a garage. It doesn’t even have to be attached to a house, I will settle for a Prefab Concrete Garages . Some of those look a lot better than the garage my father has at his house, and that’s an attached garage. The garage just needs to hold tools and maybe a car, or two, but that really isn’t important, I can park on the street. The tools though would be set aside in a corner with a work bench, and it wouldn’t just be hand tools, it would be power tools too. My garage would just be a place that I can go and work on projects without having to worry about where my tools are.

Google What Are You Doing?

Because Google changed their Page Rank, I am having a hard time finding posts on PayPerPost. I emailed them asking if they could find another way to judge a site besides their Page Rank, because I think in a matter of months they will either go back to the way Page Rank used to be, or there is going to be something else. Maybe Yahoo could step up and fix what Google seems to have messed up on.

Oak Bed

We have a nice comfortable king sized bed. I never knew how much I liked it until we went to New York this passed weekend. It is a good mattess with a box spring on a low profile frame. With the move, I was thinking if there is room that we could add a real frame with a headboard, to make it look more like a real bedroom. I’ve been looking around and I found a place that sells Oak Beds. They don’t look that bad and with the green color Krissy wants to put on the wall, it might make it stand out and really accentuate the wall color. It is just an idea though.

Give us back the Page Rank

Google changed something with the Page Rank system and now everything is messed up. Nobody is happy with the new system, especially those who sell links. It is theorized that Google is penalizing anyone who is selling ads on their website, or is making money off of their Page Rank. Krissy went from a 5 to a 3, I went from a 3 to a 2, MySpace went from a 10 to a 7, and a lot of other ones went down as well. This might be the end of the Page Rank as we know it.

Need More Traffic

The key to making a successful website is having a lot of traffic. I have a decent amount I think, but I want more website traffic. I’ve been looking into ways of doing it. There are a few things that I could do, and I am doing some of them to a degree, but I also need to do a lot more to get more website traffic. A lot of it is SEO work, because if your optimized then the website traffic is almost guaranteed.

The problem with optimizing my website is that there are different sections, so I would have to optimize each section in order to make full use of it. The most popular sections are the fanlistings, and then the blog. I really hope people don’t just see this as a blog though, and really look at it as a unique website. I still need to get more things together for it, but that probably won’t be until after we move, which is a shame, but I don’t think I will have time before then. Hopefully I can continue to grow my website traffic until we move, and while we’re moving it should stay constant.

Yawn

We got home yesterday at around 3AM. I am exhausted, if I wasn’t, I think we would be on our way to Ohio right now. Problem with that is that I need to do work. Without work the loan won’t get paid, so it is going to have to wait for a few days until I can get the work that needs to be done, finished. I am pretty close to done, just need to make some final tweaks I think, that and add a page that I am waiting to know how it is supposed to look. Life is good right now, just gotta wait until we have our own place for it to get even better.

It Just Makes Sense

Sometimes I wonder if I could ever be in charge of a real business. I am not talking about Lep’s Lair, I am talking about something bigger. Something that would require a business number, and a business bank account. If that was the case though, I would go with a Business VoIP. I think I would go with Packet8 to save some serious money though. The other phone companies are way too expensive. Every feature requires more and more money to use.

With Packet8 Virtual Office I wouldn’t need to have someone come in and install anything, it would install easily over the existing internet connection. I mean there isn’t any hardware, so how hard could it be? I think the selling point though is that it is able to be integrated into Outlook. I know Outlook, most people at least know and understand Outlook Express, so anyone I would hire would be able to use it to their advantage. Plus if I have a business of three people, I could give each person their own line as needed, and the more people who work for me could have their own number.

Definitely Packet8 is something that I would be looking into if I had something that required it, it just makes sense.

Bertucci’s

We all went out to Bertucci’s for Krissy’s birthday. I had the chicken parma, which was great, but was a lot of food. It was fun, though, Krissy had a good time, so that is all that matters. I think we are heading back to Delaware tomorrow or Wednesday, so I will be back on a full sized keyboard, though I am getting used to using the laptop keyboard. Tomorrow whether we leave or not, I will be having pizza, which is one of the main reasons I came to New York. There is nothing like New York pizza.

IDrive

I’ve been using an online backup for work. I haven’t had to switch to the paid plan, that gives you unlimited storage for $4.95 a month, I am fine on the 2 gigabyte plan that is free, but it is really a life saver when I am in New York or any other state where I don’t have access to my desktop. Plus I just need the one copy, instead of making a backup putting it on the laptop and then worry about putting the changed file on the desktop. If you are on the go, or just need to have files on multiple computers, IDrive might be for you.

We Got It

We got the loan. We are going to put it in the bank on the way back to Delaware. We are probably going to be headed back there either tomorrow night or Wednesday, so then we will be heading to Ohio on Sunday most likely. Hopefully by next Tuesday we will have our own place. This is definitely going to be a busy next couple of weeks.

Live Chat

When you buy a product online don’t you wish you could speak to someone there about the reliability of the product? I am not talking about a forum where you have to wait for an answer, I am talking about a live chatroom for support. Well maybe more companies will start installing a support chat, if it is cheap enough with enough features.

LiveHuman is a host based and full featured chatting service. What does that mean? In simple terms it means that it will host a website on their server and you just need to put in an HTML tag where you want the chatroom. In not so simple terms it is a fully featured, fully functional chat system that allows your customers to speak to you live in real time with questions and problems, with all of the functionality of a forum, with much more fun added. You can incorporate HTML elements that will be pleasing to your visitor’s eye, and additionally find out more about your visitors by knowing where they are from, what website they came from, the time they have spent on your site, and a lot of other useful information.

The cost is only $13 a month and with a price that low, I suspect companies will start implementing this, so be on the lookout.
