Dreamweaver CS3

When we were in New York, I forgot to bring my copy of Dreamweaver 8, so I downloaded a demo of Dreamweaver CS3. Up until then I had no idea that CS3 was out. I really like the new Dreamweaver. It loads just like the old one, but it has advanced support for AJAX and CSS. It has all the latest CSS improvements installed, plus the layout is more customizable this time around. The AJAX support, I cannot say how good it is simply because I don’t know. I haven’t played around with AJAX much, but I might be doing that sooner rather than later, especially for some of the things that I need to do for work. I might download Photoshop CS3 to see if it works better on my computer than CS2 did.

Good Day in the Flooring World

Everybody buys things online, from clothing to bathroom fixtures. There shouldn’t be any problem with that, there isn’t any need to go out and find the right product, go to the store, pick it up, hope you can get it home, if it is big. The problem with buying things online is that there isn’t always protection with the product, sometimes it is a take it as you get it kind of deal.

One company is taking a stand against that kind of attitude. iFLOOR is offering a $1,000,000 warranty protection, regardless of if you bought it online or in the store. This isn’t a manufacturer warranty, in fact most manufacturers aren’t giving any warranty if you buy flooring online, and that is illegal. That is why if you buy from iFLOOR and you take the warranty, they reserve the right to sue the manufacturer on behalf of the consumer. This means that you don’t need to shell out the money to sue them, iFLOOR will, but in the meantime you have a warranty on your floors. It is definitely a good day in the flooring world.

My Plans for Today

Depending on how much work I need to get done today, I am planning on sitting down and watching the Spiderman 3 DVD. While I am watching I will be taking notes and writing the summary for it and putting that in its own section. I will also be taking screen shots and making pictures, maybe putting them up in the pictures section, I am not sure yet. One thing that I would like to do is take pictures of anyone who is in the comic book and put them on the characters page, such as Dr. Connors and Robbie Robertson.

Clay

Krissy and I want to get into making pottery again. I used to make bowls in high school and then sell them. It may sound corny, but it was really fun. I originally did it to get out of English, but after I had so much fun the first time, I went back again and again. In order to do it, we would first need a nontoxic clay. A lot of stuff in most ceramic clay makes me break out in hives, so whenever I make anything I either wear gloves, or find children’s safe Ceramic Clays, or even nontoxic Modeling clays that will harden in a kiln would do.

We haven’t just been talking about pottery though, we have been looking for a lot of things to do together. I mean after we move into the place and we have the money there, we don’t just want to be sitting around playing video games. She suggected we go and buy some arts and crafts materials, so we can paint and draw together. I don’t really know how that is done together, but I am willing to give it a try.

October 2007 Totals

[Edit]The money listed here is only what I have made off my website and is not the only amount that I pull in. I have a dependable client in that I am working for, and I also have other sources of income coming in. [/Edit]

I had a pretty good month this month, but honestly I think this might be my last good month for a while. Google changed the way Page Rank is done, and a lot of people got screwed by their new system, I was one of those people. So while I can’t say how much I will make in November, let’s just hope that it is enough to stay afloat. Now onto the totals.

The September 2007 total was $652.71. The totals for October 2007 are as follows:

Loud Launch: $30.00
PayPerPost: $593.86
Blogsvertise: $20.00
Smorty: $36.60
Text Link Ads: $5.25
Adbrite: 16.92
Private Advertisers: 4.16

The total for October 2007 is $702.63. Now that definitely isn’t something to sneeze at. I have joined Smorty this month, so hopefully that will continue to add a few dollars here and there, and I have also joined Shopping Ads, but I am still unsure if I will be keeping them or not, so I am holding off on putting that total up, besides it is very insignificant.

Makeovers

I was showing my mother this online makeover program. You can use it to change your hair style, hair color, facial hair anything really. It is a really nifty tool for seeing how you would look with different physical attributes without the need for plastic surgery. I mean if you are a girl then you have probably said at one point or another, I want that person’s hair, if you are like any of the girls that I know then you would have gone out and gotten it styles or colored like that. Maybe it didn’t come out the way you wanted though, maybe it came out too dark, or it hid your face. Well now you can try it onlineand not have to worry about waiting for it to grow out.

Makeup is a billion dollar industry, now women don’t need to spend money on lipstick that you won’t like on your lips, you can simply test it out on a picture of you that you upload to the site. No more money wasted on stylists, or makeup, only to come to find that you absolutely hate it with a passion. Isn’t that reason alone to give the program a try, after all what do you have to lose?

Music Software

I used to take guitar lessons at school, and I can somewhat play, or at least fake playing the keyboard. I like music, I would like to get a keyboard that I could hook into the USB port. I used to have one, in fact I wrote the music that was on my old Flash splash page with it. I got really into it after I heard a musician with just a keyboard and some music software put on his website some of the most beautifully orchestrated music I’ve ever heard. I would still like to invest in a keyboard, and maybe even some software so I can make that kind of music, although with my talent it would probably sound like a cat dying.

Custom Games

Bungie has a Halloween playlist up, it is all Infection. Since Halo 2 Infection was one of my favorite games. It is a special treat to have a playlist just for it though, otherwise you need to find someone in a custom game playing it, and with the new interface for Halo 3, you can’t see what kind of games your friends are playing. Even if you couldn’t see what your friends were playing, I just wish there was a way to search for a Custom Game in Halo 3, I mean playing a game of swords would be better if you could have an open party. There seems to be traces of that in the game, and there were hints of it in EGM and GamePro, but I guess it just didn’t make the final cut, or it might be released later on.I will definitely have no complaints if that was the case, though.

Trustsource.org

It seems that everyone in my family has some sort of hair loss. My mother is losing her hair and my father has never had hair if I remember correctly. To my knowledge both of them have tried hair solutions for them and it didn’t work. This was years ago though, probably the early to mid 90’s, when the internet was still just an inconceivable idea to most people. If they had the internet then they could read reviews on provillus or any other hair loss product they tried.

The internet is a wonderful thing isn’t it? People come together on a website such as trustsource and write reviews to help other consumers by saying what worked and didn’t work for them. I grew up on the internet for the most part, at least for the last few years and before that I wasn’t old enough to care what the reviews were and if something worked or it didn’t, so I don’t know what people did before the internet, but maybe it was just listening to infomercials, but they never say the bad things on there. You don’t need to worry about that with trustsource though, if someone writes a review it goes on the website, regardless of if it worked or not.

Spiderman 4 Writer Hired

I am very excited by this news, James Vanderbilt who recently polished the script for the movie XMen Origins:Wolverine, has been hired to write the script for Spiderman 4. I haven’t seen any of his work, but it seems to me if they hired him for the Wolverine movie, and then hired him again for the Spiderman movie, then he must be good.

I know it is a long shot, but I hope they bring Venom back for the next movie, he was underplayed in the third one, and he is my favorite villain. I can only hope though, but maybe someone in Hollywood or Marvel would see this and realize that now they have showed Venom attaching himself to Spiderman that it would be a great move to make him the main villain, while Spiderman deals with this other villain. I mean Venom knows who he is, he can’t be detected by the Spidey sense, and maybe at the end have him spawn Carnage, and have Spiderman and Venom team up. It would make for a great movie, probably better than Spiderman 3 (great movie, but Sandman was pointless and they changed the whole Spiderman mythos).

Black Friday

Is there a scarier day than
Black Friday? If you work in retail you know how people cram into stores to buy stuff for Christmas and any other holiday they may celebrate. If you are a consumer, then you know you have to be at the store by 3AM on Black Friday so you could get a good deal on all the hot items this year. I know someone who went on Black Friday last year to stand in line to get a Best Buy deal on a television that was almost half off just for that day.

I don’t really like shopping on Black Friday, actually I never officially did it, I worked in a toy store a few years ago on Black Friday and even when I was on my lunch break, trying to buy some food, it was impossible. I will admit though that they do have a lot of good deals in the thanksgiving ads, but trying to find which stores released their ads and then finding one can be just as painful as shopping on Black Friday. All right maybe not, but now you can get emails sent to you when your favorite store reveals their Black Friday ad, so at least it is one less thing for you to worry about this holiday season.

My Wishlist

A few days ago I promised that a previous section of my site would be returning. Late last night it did, I have put up my wishlist in the Me section again. This isn’t the previous wishlist though, it is a wishlist from thethingsiwant, which lets me add items from any website that I want, so it isn’t limited to just one website in particular. I figure this would be a good addition because I love seeing what people have on their Amazon wishlists, and this would just be expanding to other sites as well.
