Never Give Up

I’m a programmer. I don’t know how it happened, I’ve always wanted it to happened, but somehow when I wasn’t paying attention, I became a programmer. You wouldn’t believe how many people told me that I wouldn’t be a programmer though. A lot of times programming has to do with math, and I suck at higher level math. I’ve been to math tutor after math tutor, trying to figure out things from 1+1 to harder stuff like Trigonometry.

Both high school and college was difficult because I wasn’t that good in math. I was excellent in computer programming, however. I got A’s in every computer programming course I took in high school and college. Math was a different story. I failed a lot of tests, and some classes. I was able to work around it though, I mean here I am today programming my heart out for work, and I love it. Granted things get slow at times, but I think it all balances out. I know that I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the tutors I got back then though.

I guess it just goes to show you that if you want something enough, and you are willing to work for it, then maybe, just maybe, you will get what you want. Never give up hope.

Paradise

Taken from HostDrJack:

When everybody on earth was dead and waiting to enter Paradise, God
appeared and said, “I want the men to make two lines. One line was for
men who were true heads of their household, and the other line for the
men who were dominated by their women. I want all the women to report
to St. Peter.” Soon, the women were gone, and there were two lines of men.
The line of the men who were dominated by their wives was 100 miles
long, and in the line of men who truly were heads of their household,
there was only one man.
God said, “You men should be ashamed of yourselves, I created you to be
the head of your household! You have been disobedient and have not
fulfilled your purpose! Of all of you, only one obeyed. Learn from him.”
God turned to the one man, “How did you manage to be the only one in
this line?”
The man replied, “My wife told me to stand here.”

Sasha Grey Updated

I’ve updated the Sasha Grey Fanlisting so that it now includes an Extra page and a pictures section. I’ve only added four pictures, but I plan on adding more soon.

I got an email yesterday that my site is set to expire in less than 90 days. It’s hard to believe that my site is almost three years old, I remember when I first started this, it was mainly so I would have something to learn PHP on, and now here I am three years later, not where I want to be exactly, but closer than when I started. Maybe one day soon I will be able to get back to work on some of the stuff I’ve been meaning to get on here.

Changes in the Resort

Living in a resort town can be a downer in the winter. A lot of the houses down here are rentals so you only have people coming down here who are from out of state an d rented their house or apartment from Rentals. It sucks when the highways are packed with people from out of state, but it can also be amusing. There was this one man riding on his motorcycle who didn’t want to deal with the traffic, so he was riding in the shoulder. You could tell he was heading to the beach because he had his beach chair between his legs, which looked to be very uncomfortable. Needless to say that he got a ticket.

Everything changes down here once tourist season starts. More cops take to the streets, and the beach. They hire more than double the amount of police presence they normally have in the off season, which is around 10, and the state troopers will most likely be seen pulling over plates with out of state license plates. They don’t like to admit that they do that, but i have been speeding and have never once been pulled over, except once and they never got out of the car to question me, they just drove off.

Everything changes down here in the summer time, does it change in your town, or is it pretty much how it always is?

Wii Tanks

I think I may have pulled a muscle while playing the Wii. It sucks because you wouldn’t think it would happen playing video games, but it does. That hasn’t stopped me though, I’ve still been boxing and bowling, but I think the best game we own is the Wii Sports tank game. Too bad they didn’t make an entire game like that, Krissy and I play it for hours, even if it is where we just shoot tanks. Nintendo, more games like this tank game please.

Jewelry Television

I’ve been looking into what I am going to be getting people for Christmas, and my baby’s upcoming birthday. I don’t like the lines at malls during Christmas, so this year I am shopping early, or shopping online when need be. Krissy doesn’t seem to wear much jewelry, but she seems to wear any kind that I buy her, that’s why I am thinking about getting some for good jewelry for a good price with coupons for Jewelry Television. Now normally I wouldn’t use coupons for jewelry, but it is a good deal with them, and if I can get her maybe a $200 watch for $150 or something along those lines, then what is wrong with using a coupon?

Gogoshopper is a really cool website. They offer coupons in almost any category you can think of, not just jewelry and they aren’t minimal $10 coupons off $400-$500 items that you see on so many other websites. They have coupons for laptops that have $100 – $150 off the $500 price tag. With some of the items, there is no need to put in coupon code because it is taken off for you before you even go to checkout, how convenient is that? I really like this website and would recommend it to anybody. This is definitely going into my favorites and it should go into yours too.

How I Met Your Mother

If you haven’t seen How I Met Your Mother, then I suggest that you watch it. I never saw the first season, and I think I am missing most of the second season so I will be getting it on DVD, but I am loving this show. If you haven’t seen it I really suggest that you check it out.

Webdesign

I’m always looking for sites that could help me better my search engine rankings, and I found one. Dev3.ro – Professional Webdesign Services offers web design, web applications, Search Engine Optimization, and database design at a reasonable price. They also have a very impressive portfolio. They’ve designed for Bell Pacific and Nexus. Their website designs are especially impressive, most I believe are Flash.

Now I would never get my site professionally done, if that’s what I wanted then I could easily get it done, but I would might have somebody build a web application, especially if it involves something with Flash or Ajax, which looks like they do that too. I’ve been tinkering for the last few months on a little side project. For the most part I can handle it, but there might be some parts that are over my head. For those parts, outsourcing it to someone else would definitely be a possibility so I might be looking into at a later date, if I ever get a certain side project off the ground.

We Need a Blanket

The washing machine ate our comforter. See it was a king size and it got caught on the rim of the washing machine and tore it apart. Needless to say Krissy and I will be cold because the air conditioning is on full blast when we go to sleep and we like to just cover ourselves completely. We’ve been looking into some down comforters, but that is dry clean only, and down here when they say something will be here by 9AM, you’re lucky if you get it that day. So we are now looking for a comforter and a new king size bed.

Help the At Risk Children

If you are thinking about getting rid of your car then can I suggest that you donate it instead of selling, or scrapping it? Car angel will take your Car Donations and use them to help at risk kids and teenagers. What is an at risk teenager? It’s someone who is at risk of using drugs, or worse. At risk kids aren’t always at risk for using drugs, but at risk for violence and harm. Kids from broken homes, or homes where a parent is in jail is more prone to doing damage to him or herself or other people.

Every day more and more kids are put out on the street because their parents can’t or don’t know how to take care of them. Everyday more and more kids get into trouble because they can’t take care of themselves and don’t have the skills to keep their lives in order.

On a personal note, I’ve seen what these places do for kids, they don’t just give them a sandwich so they can eat, they teach them how to be a productive member of society so they can continue to eat everyday. That cashier at the grocery store, that person in Macdonald’s who works the fry machine, maybe they are there because of a place like this. Maybe they need help getting their lives back together. That old car or truck that you were going to just throw to a junk yard, why not donate it and give someone a second chance?

I Love Pool

I haven’t been to a pool hall in over a year, and before that I hadn’t played pool in years. Wii play comes with a pool game, and while it isn’t the same thing as pool, it made me realize how much I miss playing the good old game of pool. I wonder if Krissy would play pool, I think I will ask her when she comes in, because I think there’s a pool place up in Dover, about 45 minutes away. Too bad I can’t find one down here, I might be willing to go there a few times a month and get my game up. In high school I was decent. I used to run the tables at lunch. Yes my school has pool tables, it wasn’t your average school.

What is Colloidal Silver?

I’m out of shape. Right now my arm is hurting from all the Wii playing done yesterday, that Rayman game killed my rotator cuff. I am trying to fix the out of shape thing though. I’ve been looking into changing my whole way of life, exercising and eating healthier. I’ve also been taking vitamins and other essential ingredients to make my immune system and my all around person much better. I found colloidal silver which is supposed to be a good natural antibiotic.

While I was doing research on colloidal silver, and it seems that there is a side effect. Taking it for a long periods of time, or taking an excess amount of it may cause argyria. Argyria is a condition in which your skin will permanently change to blue or silver. Argyria May be helped with laser surgery, but it has no other factors beside the changing the color of your skin.
