Here’s a post I never thought I would write, I lost 50 pounds since February 2. Obviously for my health, I had to, but I didn’t think it would be this soon. I won’t say it was easy, I had to completely change my diet and give up alcohol to do it. I went from burgers and fries to grilled chicken and vegetables. My fruit and vegetable intake has probably increased 200% too. For a while I was making a smoothie every morning, but that has basically stopped for the most part unless I wake up hungry. The pills I am on possibly has something to do with it too.
Now that I can’t have certain foods like cheeseburgers, when I do have them (which is usually once every two to three weeks), I appreciate them more. I won’t get one that is “subpar”, but will actually get a good one. I’m probably becoming as much of a “burger snob” as I am as a “pizza snob”. Since moving to Delaware, I’ve limited where I eat pizza from. Unlike living in New York and New Jersey, good pizza here is hard to come by. I find that pizza coming off a conveyor belt oven usually is garbage. If it’s brick oven or coal fired or something like that, then it’s pretty decent. A traditional pizza oven is hard to come by here, probably due to the lack of natural gas lines. You can’t have a traditional oven using electric.
The Future
Now that my weight is down so much, I am going to increase the weight training, I think. My goal is to increase muscle mass at this point, or at least not lose anymore than I’ve already lost. I’m also thinking of somehow incorporating weight loss/weight training into my content in some way. I don’t know how yet, I was thinking about posting smoothie recipes earlier, but considering they are all the same, I decided to just post some on Twitter. After I posted two I realized how many are actually the same, maybe a few grams difference in what I put in it.

I also suppose I will need to get new clothes at some point as well. I didn’t realize how different I looked until I was going through pictures for my Instagram posts. It’s weird seeing the difference, but a good weird.
What is the hardest part for you to get in shape? Are you trying to be healthier? Let me know.
Good for you!
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is difficult, but after you make the adjustment, you will feel the difference.
I’m not good at giving exercise advice on account of my tiny frame and freak genetics. But if memory serves, it was a gram of protein for every pound that you weigh for weight training.
My best friend was very knowledgeable about that stuff, but he passed away several years ago.
Keep at it and if you want some tips on my endurance training regiment, I’ll be glad to share them.
Kudos Leps!
Thanks! It is hard, but I am trying.
