I want to boop the Ori
The story starts right after the first one ends. After Kuro’s last egg hatches, Ori, Naru, and Gumo name the newborn Ku and make them part of their family. Ku was born with a broken wing and is unable to fly, but Gumo changes that when he attaches a feather to the broken wing. On their first flight out, Ori and Ky end up leaving Nibel and being separated in Niwen.
Ori eventually finds Ku thanks to Kwolok, a toad who looks over the Inkwater Marsh, and residents of Niwen, the Moki. Their reunion is short lived, however, when they are attacked and Ku is killed by Shriek, a deformed owl that was rejected by her kind at birth.
After mourning their death, Kwolok explains to Ori that they can get Ku back, but they need to collect the five wisps that are scattered around Niwen. Kwolok goes with Ori to collect one of the wisps, but is soon possessed by the Stink Spirit. Ori helps Kwolok break their control over him, but he’s badly injured. He begs Ori to protect Niwen in his place before he dies.
Run, Ori, it's a bear
The Spirit Trees
Once Ori finds all five wisps and they join together to reform Seir, they go to the Spirit Willow where Seir revives it. The tree tells Ori that it’s too old and asks that Ori to carry Seir and leave their previous life behind and restore the light to Niwen. As Ori is about to accept Seir, but Shriek attacks and grabs it. Ori defeats Shriek who then leaves to die under the wing of her parents’ corpses.
Ori, determined to get their friend back at any cost, merges with Seir and in the process heals Niwen and revives Ku, even restoring her damaged wing. Naru and Gumo who headed to Niwen on a raft arrive to see Ku reborn. While they go off and look for Ori, they find a Spirit Tree growing where they merged. The family stays close to the tree and helps it grow, eventually revealing that it is Ori and retells the events leading up to when it merged with Seir.
