Fable 2

500 years after Fable, Sparrow and their sister Rose are living on the streets of Bowerstone with dreams of living in Castle Fairfax. One day a traveling seller comes by and shows a box that can grant anyone’s wish. The two buy it and make the wish that their dreams come true. Later that night, castle guards came to collect the children as Lucien wants to speak with them. Lucien tells a tale of four heroes who will try and stop him and that one of the siblings is one of them. Lucien then kills the sister, and shoots Sparrow making them fall out a window to be presumed dead. Sparrow is saved by a mysterious woman.

Ten years later the woman tells Sparrow to enter a cave beneath a large lake. Once inside, cavern looks familiar, this is a part of the old Heroes Guild that’s been destroyed long ago. The woman introduces herself as Theresa, a blind seeress. She explains that Sparrow is a descendent of  the Hero who killed Jack of Blades, her brother. Sparrow is one of the four heroes that must stop Lucien.

The Four Heroes

First Sparrow finds the hero of strength, Hammer from Oakvale, she is reluctant at first until Lucien’s people end up murdering her father. Next Sparrow is going to find the hero of will, Garth, but is kidnapped by Lucien as Sparrow is helpless and watches. Sparrow goes on a rescue mission by becoming Lucien’s slave. Years pass and the two finally get their chance to escape.

In the years Sparrow was gone, Theresa and Hammer have found the last hero, the hero of skill, Reaver. Reaver is reluctant to join them and first insists they become more famous. Once they do however, Reaver betrays the group and turns them over to Lucien, only to be double crossed himself. With Lucien now against Reaver, he has no choice, but to join you.

Theresa starts to channel their energy to get a weapon needed to defeat Lucien, but before it can be completed, he shows up and murders Sparrow. Sparrow is taken to a dream like world where Rose is alive and the children have a family. Sparrow hears the music box and goes out to it despite his sister begging him not to. Upon touching it, Rose tells Sparrow it was a test and that they can use the box to defeat Lucien.

Once Lucien is dead Theresa offers Sparrow a wish that they can have as a reward. You can choose from resurrecting the thousands of people that died enslaved by Lucien, resurrecting Rose, their dog, and their family, or be granted an immense fortune. Theresa offers to send the other heroes to wherever they want to go.
