Ready, aim, fire!
What’s Included in the Definitive Remaster
DOOM, DOOM II, TNT: Evilution, The Plutonia Experiment, Master Levels for DOOM II, No Rest for the Living, Sigil, Legacy of Rust (a new episode created in collaboration by id Software, Nightdive Studios and MachineGames), and a new Deathmatch map pack featuring 26 maps. There are a total of 187 mission maps and 43 deathmatch maps in DOOM + DOOM II. The package also includes online and cross-platform (crossplay) co-op for up to 16 players and upgraded graphics across all titles.
The remaster preserves the original’s fast-paced, relentless combat while enhancing the atmosphere of isolation and cosmic horror. In DOOM Remaster, you play as an unnamed space marine stationed on the Union Aerospace Corporation’s research facilities on Phobos and Deimos, the two moons of Mars. When a series of experimental teleportation tests go catastrophically wrong, the gateways rip open into Hell itself, unleashing hordes of demons across the bases. Cut off from Earth and surrounded by the slaughtered remains of your fellow marines, you become the last line of defense.

Time to play Doom II!
Doom 1 Story
Doom 1 follows an unnamed space marine (Doom Guy) stationed on Mars after assaulting a superior officer who ordered him to fire on civilians. The UAC is running dangerous interdimensional experiments on the moons Phobos and Deimos. These experiments open a rift to Hell, allowing demons to overrun the bases. The marine fights through Phobos, then Deimos, then Hell itself, eventually defeating the demonic forces and stopping the invasion.
The ending shows the marine stepping through a portal back toward Earth, only to discover that demons have already begun invading the planet. This cliffhanger sets up the events of Doom 2.

You think your chain gun is any match for my pistol?
Doom 2 Story
Doom 2 begins with the marine returning to Earth after the events on Mars and its moons. He finds major cities destroyed and humanity nearly wiped out. Survivors are attempting to evacuate through a starport, but demons have surrounded it with a barrier of flames. The marine fights through the starport and lowers the defenses so the remaining humans can escape.
Left behind, he battles through ruined cities where Hell is merging with reality. He eventually finds the portal to Hell, returns to the underworld, and destroys the Icon of Sin, the source of the invasion. This ends the assault on Earth and gives humanity a chance to rebuild.
