A Little to the Left is a cozy puzzle game developed by Max Inferno and published by Secret Mode. It was released on November 8, 2022 for Windows, MacOS, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Do you ever organize things or clean your house only for your pet to mess it up? That is basically what the game is. Puzzles involve different objects like books, utensils, and plants. Each puzzle has to be arranged in an aesthetically pleasing way and sometimes when you’re done the cute kitty comes along and messes up your work. In a lot of the puzzles there is more than one way to arrange things too, so arranging an item by height smallest to tallest might look good, maybe arranging them by colors or by liquid height would also look good. I will admit sometimes the puzzles are a lot simpler than they appear. I found myself overthinking some of them when in actuality I just had to put them in height order.
The game’s intuitive mechanics make it accessible for all ages, while the increasing complexity of the puzzles ensures that it remains engaging and challenging for seasoned gamers. As you go along, some can introduce a new aspect of game play that wasn’t there before, like a mouse wheel movement to zoom out or change the rotation of items. All this doesn’t take away from the fact that the soft music and overall simplicity and design make this a great relaxing cozy game.
The game has two DLCs, Cupboards and Drawers and Seeing Stars. The focus on Cupboards and Drawers focuses on those as well as other nooks and crannies of the home that a lot of people forget about. In Seeing Stars, there’s even more puzzles to solve, but this time to get all of them you need to complete the rest in multiple ways.
