DuckTales Remastered is a platformer video game developed by WayForward Technologies. It's a remaster of the original DuckTales, developed by Capcom in 1989. Both the original and the remaster were published by Capcom, and the game is based on the Disney animated TV series of the same name. The remaster was enhanced and expanded by WayForward Technologies, and released on August 13, 2013 for Windows, Wii U, and PS3. The game was released for Xbox 360 on September 11, 2013. On April 1, 2015, the game was released for Android, iOS, and Windows Phone. When I got home from school, DuckTales would be on. I watched a lot of DuckTales growing up. TaleSpin, DuckTales, and Darkwing Duck always played together when I came home from school, so watching them became somewhat ritualistic.

DuckTales Remastered Gameplay
Like the original, the game is a 2D side-scrolling platformer. Along with updated graphics and voice acting from the show's remaining cast, the game also had new features. The game's new features like saving and infinite continues are one of the reasons why it's easier in the remake than it was in the original version. With as many lives as you need, you no longer need to worry about messing up and having it be the last life with then having to start all the way at the beginning of the game.

DuckTales Remastered Story
The game begins with the Beagle Boys raiding Scrooge's Money Bin and kidnapping Huey, Dewey, and Louie. After rescuing them, Scrooge defeats Big Time Beagle, who was trying to steal a painting containing a coded map that reveals the locations of five legendary treasures.
With Gyro Gearloose's help, Scrooge deciphers the map and sets out on a global adventure. He explores the Amazon jungle, Transylvania, African mines, the Himalayas, and the Moon. Each location holds a treasure, the Incan King's Scepter, the Coin of the Lost Realm, the Giant Diamond of the Inner-Earth, the Lost Crown of Genghis Khan, and the Green Cheese of Longevity.
Scrooge isn't the only one searching for these treasures. Flintheart Glomgold tries to steal the Crown and the Cheese, while Magica De Spell attempts to claim the Coin.
When Scrooge returns to the Money Bin, he finds his nephews captured again by the Beagle Boys, now working for Glomgold. Forced to surrender his treasures, Scrooge is then betrayed by Magica, who freezes everyone and reveals her plan to summon Count Dracula Duck using the treasures. She teleports the treasures and the nephews to Mount Vesuvius, demanding Scrooge's Number One Dime in exchange. At Vesuvius, Scrooge battles Dracula Duck and defeats Magica's scheme. With his nephews safe and the treasures saved, Scrooge returns home.
