We Need Loans

I want to get my degree. I have no money to go back to school so I need to look into student loans. I know Krissy is trying to go back to school too, so she will also need a student loan. I would hate to take out so much money to pay back, but at least we could defer the payment until after we graduate. Finding a Delaware student loan shouldn’t be that hard, the hard part is going to be finding the right school to go to. Krissy has it figured out at least, I am still lost as to what I want to do and where I want to go.

E3 Talk Already?

Nintendo’s Reggie teased E3 2008 today when he was posed the question “with such a big first half of the year for Nintendo, what is the second half going to bring?” His answer was that it would be revealed at E3. For those of you who don’t know, E3 is the Electronics Entertainment Expo held every year in LA. E3 will be held in July this year so it is a little odd that he would be teasing E3 already, considering that it isn’t even April yet. I guess they figure if they put it in your heads now then you will be looking forward to the Nintendo announcements months away. I guess it is an affective strategy.

Home Makeover

Money is great isn’t it? The only time it sucks is when you don’t have the money to do what you want.In today’s economy that is becoming a more common occurrence. Anything you can do to make some more money for the things you want is good. No matter what it is that you want, whether it be a new car or even house repairs, you need money to get it.

Renzuit TriScents are holding a contest that you could win a $20,000 Home Makeover. All you need to do to enter is submit a video of a maximum of two minutes or submit an essay that can be up to 250 words on why you think you deserve the money. If you are interested in this then you should go see official rules for the contest. After you check out the rules, you’ll have a better idea of what you need to do so that you could enter to win.

Remember that this contest is being run by Renzuit TriScents. If you aren’t sure of what that is, why not pick some up with their easy to print coupon on the contest site? Remember you have to enter to win the contest, so don’t delay.

Outsource to Me

I owe about $4,000 in Credit card debt. Six months ago it was a lot less, but then Christmas came and I got in a bit over my head. I think I am doing all right with the payments and everything else. I don’t suspect that I will need any outside help for credit repair, especially if some things take off which I am hoping they will. See I have been offering my services to people looking for outsourced projects, so maybe my workload and money will increase over the next few weeks. That way I can pay off a lot more than just the minimum payments.

Iron Man Video Game, I Want It

I just saw the new trailer for the Iron Man video game and it looks great. Between Iron Man and the Hulk video games and movies this summer, I personally can’t wait. I know that Iron Man and the Hulk along with Nick Fury are supposed to have some weird cross over going on in the movies, but I wonder if it will crossover into the video games as well. I think for a little while playing as the Hulk in the Iron Man game or vice versa would be a cool change of pace.

Looking for Love

I know how hard it is to meet that special someone. Even finding someone that you can just go out with and get a couple beers is hard. Before I met Krissy I did everything to meet women. I’d go up to them in bars, I even went on dating sites. I couldn’t find a dating site that I liked because they were all the same. All of them had either fake or old profiles that were no longer active and they kept renewing the subscription, even if I wasn’t happy with them. I think it would be different if I was single now though. I would use MyFutureSpouse, they seem to have eliminated all the problems that I had with the other sites out there. They also go to great lengths to ensure pictures that are uploaded are real and recent photos of yourself. That means that there won’t be any surprises when you go to meet up with someone.

The Colors Duke, The Colors

As some of you noticed in the St Patrick’s Day video and an image in my photo gallery, I dyed my hair blond. Today I tried to put blue dye in it to turn it green for St. Patrick’s Day. That didn’t go off according to plan. Only some of my hair actually turned green. Basically half of my head is green and the other half is blond. I don’t really know how I did it, but it looks kind of odd. I am not going to try and get it green again tonight, I think I’ve put too much stuff in my hair in the last week. It needs a few days without dying.

Burnout Paradise

I rented Burnout Paradise from Blockbuster yesterday and I have been playing it a bit. It is a good game, I was familiar with the older ones so I knew what to expect. There were some key surprises in there that I wasn’t aware of, like the crash anytime model. There’s been a lot of controversy amongst fans regarding the new open city, but I think that adds more of a realistic standpoint to the game. I mean driving on preset courses gets annoying, driving on wide open road where you choose how to get somewhere is a lot better to me. My biggest gripe about the game is that there is no driver. You are driving a car, but there’s no driver in the car. There are no people anywhere in the city. That has been my gripe with the Burnout Series in general, so I can’t say that I was surprised.

Searchpoint.net Toolbar

The Sniperpoint toolbar does a lot of handy things. With it you can block popup ads, fill out web forms with one click, and have instant suggestions when you are searching. My favorite feature of the toolbar is that you can bookmark pages and access them from anywhere. I know a lot of websites do that, but having a built in function in the toolbar makes it worth having.

GTA4 Multiplayer Revealed

Rockstar let slip some details regarding the GTA 4 online multiplayer experience. In the multiplayer game you can play with up to 16 players each having fully customizable characters of their own. You can change the race, sex, hair, clothing, and more of each character.

They also let slip the game types. They are:

1. Hangman’s NOOSE
2. Car Jack City
3. Bomb da Base
4. Bomb da Base II
5. Mafia Work
6. Team Mafia Work
7. Deathmatch
8. Team Deathmatch
9. Turf War
10. Cops N Crooks
11. Race
12. GTA Race
13. Deal Breaker
14. Free Mode

In Race and GTA Race, the host gets to decide which vehicles are involved, and the number of laps to be played. You can shoot and throw molotovs from the window, and even steal your rivals’ car. In Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, the host gets to decide the number of pedestrians, the amount of traffic, the intervention of police (or not), and the type of weapons. In Cops N Crooks, one team plays as cops and the other plays as criminals. The cops must stop the criminals from escaping. They can monitor the locations of the criminals on their GPS systems, while the criminals don’t know where the cops are. In Mafia Work and Team Mafia Work, you play as one of Kenny Petrovic’s mafia henchmen. You must complete hits ordered by the boss (via the cellphone) before your rivals are able to do so. The map used in multiplayer is the same map that is used for single player. A single-player mission called “Hangman’s NOOSE” features co-op. You and your friends will be able to escort a mobster, while being pursused by a SWAT team.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I am extremely excited about this game now. I knew there would be a multiplayer aspect, but I wasn’t expecting anything like this. I can’t wait for this game.

Preventing the Sickness

Oysters can be dangerous to eat. Gulf oysters can spread diseases to humans if they aren’t processed correctly. It is getting safer to eat oysters though, particularly due to the post-harvest process. The post-harvest process is one of three choices. It can be where the oysters are frozen, the oysters are cooked in high pressure, or the oysters are done in a heat-cool pasteurization. No matter which way they are cooked, it means that the risk is greatly reduced. Personally I don’t like seafood, but I know a lot of people who do. I also know someone who got sick from eating it and let me tell you that it isn’t a pretty site when someone gets sick from seafood.

New Gallery Features

I have been adding some features to the gallery script, but they are mainly on the backend and won’t show up until I choose to have them appear. I have gotten an email regarding if I will ever release the script to the public, the answer is that I am writing it in conjunction with other scripts. If I ever did release it then there would be different aspects, one for a login, one for the gallery, etc. I have about three other things that I would like to add to the script before I add something like comments, but I will be adding some today. After this process is completed I will get started on it.
