Nikon Digital

As you know, I just bought my first camcorder. I haven’t really used it for anything yet, but I am hoping to maybe have some video blogs, maybe in some odd locations. Who knows maybe I will record a blog from the beach, or in some other place that people don’t normally blog from. I am just haoppy that I have a camcorder, now all I need to do is figure out what my first project is going to be. I am probably going to break down and do a video blog post as the first one, but you never know.

Just because I am happy with my camcorder, doesn’t mean that I don’t still want a top of the line digital camera. One day, I would love to own a Nikon camera. While I do love the way film comes out, I don’t think I would get a film camera though. Digital cameras are making leaps and bounds every year and an 8 megapixel camera is the equivalent of a film picture, so I would choose a digital camera. I am not saying that I wouldn’t own a film camera, I am just saying if it was a choice between a Nikon digital and a Nikon film, then I would choose the Nikon digital.

Gotta Clean

I took some time today to clean off my desk. In just a week’s time, I don’t know how I accumulate so much paperwork, considering I don’t use any for work. It doesn’t look much better, but I am hoping that I can get back to it later. I did play some Halo today, but the hype seemed to die down. Halo 2 was great, I played for hours, even years after its release. Halo 3 just seems like something is missing. Maybe Bungie will release some downloadable content that will fill in the void. I just wonder what they will add besides new maps, if anything.

Need Extra Cash?

Have you ever needed money for something, but just didn’t have it? Did you know that you can get between $200 and $1500 with Payday Loans? It is easy too. There’s no annoying paperwork, you can submit it online and get approved within seconds. Plus if you have bad credit it doesn’t matter, all credit levels are accepted. It is definitely a good idea if you just don’t have that extra cash.

Writing It Up

I started writing up the Spiderman 3 synopsis. It should be done either tonight or within the next few days. I don’t know because I need to watch it again because some details slip my mind. I mean I know the story, just some sequence of events might be out of whack, so I need to watch and take notes. After that I still don’t know what I am going to do with the website. There’s ideas, but they all kind of seem to fall short. I might try and get a gallery up again.

CityPass

Is there anything more majestic than New York City in the winter? New York City is a wonderful place all year long, but there is something about the winter time that makes it even more spectacular. The stores have their window displays out that probably costs more than most people’s houses, the Rockefeller Christmas Tree, Even just the Empire State Building lit up red and green for Christmas. If you have never been to New York City,. then I highly suggest you go this holiday season.

If you do happen to venture into the city this year, then you shouldn’t just limit yourself to shopping or the Christmas tree, why not take in some culture while you’re there? Visit some of the museums while you are there, take a a Circle Line Sightseeing Cruise to see the skyline. The problem with doing more than one of these things is it is just too expensive. If you were to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the new Greek and Roman galleries, the Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim Museum and the American Museum of Natural History, the top of the Empire State Building Observatory, and get tour from the water aboard a Circle Line Sightseeing Cruise, it would cost you $130.

If you are interested in doing those things, and you want to save some money to spend it on dining and other things, then why not get a New York CityPass? It is $60 and includes admission to those attractions that I listed above, but with the CityPass you don’t need to wait in the long lines for tickets, you can just go right to the attraction. It also includes a map of the city and the best times to visit each attraction. What more could you ask for?

Upgraded WordPress to 2.3.1

Well I updated WordPress to the latest version. I had some problems with it at first, but I think it was due to something in my htaccess file. I am a little confused as to what these tags under the post are, but I will try it out and see what happens.

Also I am happy to report that the Leprakhaun’s Wordcount Plugin works in 2.3.1.

Innovative Tutor

I have been thinking a lot about going back to school. I was planning on doing it when we moved, but since our move has been postponed indefinitely, I don’t know when I will be able to get back into school. What I was thinking, if I just got an associates then I could be a substitute teacher.

I was already a tutor, and if I was a substitute teacher then I would have access to the teacher’s books and help people even more. I am hoping that when I was a tutor, I was an Innovative Tutor. What I mean is that I hope that I showed people how to look at things in a different light. Like if someone is having trouble with math, then to associate it with things they would understand like football, or sewing if the case may be.

WordPress Upgrades

I might be upgrading WordPress either tonight or tomorrow, so if the website goes down then you know why. I have to back everything up before I do it, so I won’t lose anything. What this meansg for anyone uses my plugins, I will upgrade my plugins as soon as I can to make them work with the newest version of WordPress. Now I am off to do some work, possibly do some upgrades, and maybe play some Halo.

Who is God?

You know people go to war for believing in what they do. They fight and get killed for believing in their God. What does it get them? I mean either way people on both sides of the war die, and yet no God prevails. Maybe Whose to say hes called God anyway? Why not Yahweh, Buddha, Ginnesh? What if God isn’t an all knowing all powerful being, but something that is far too complex and too simple for us to understand? What if God isn’t anything really and everything at all?

There will be no peaceful end to the world, no second coming of Christ. There will be war and hatred and only those who have the will to survive will survive. Men will look inside themselves and see that there will be no hand of God to come down and stop it all, there is no burning bush with a face in it. God is just an idea drawn by man. Think if God is loving and all knowing, and he made man in his image then why did man create this? A world of hatred and fear. God is nothing more than a driving force, an idea that there will be more to look forward to after you die. There isn’t any pearly gate, no big book with your name in it, there is only peacefulness, for we are the Gods in this world and the next.

The Hard Drive is Here

The hard drive came today. I was a little shocked that it was a SATA when I swore that it was an EIDE one, but nonetheless it was a pleasent surprise. I am guessing that my motherboard can only hold three hard drives considering that I plugged in it with the one I was going to take out (an EIDE one) and it only recognizes two of the EIDE ones and the SATA one. I swore I had more in there, but I guess I didn’t. Once it is done formatting the new drive though (75 gigabytes for the music and 390 gigabytes for other things) I am going to reboot and see if I can get the other drive working as well, if I can then I may just use the 75 gigabytes as another drive for things that shouldn’t necessarily go into my documents drive.

Let’s Play Paintball

I have never played Paintball, I have been invited, I have seen it in movies and on television, but I have never actually played. Don’t get me wrong, I want to, I really do, but I just haven’t had a game come up at a good time. I want to play, so much so that I have recently been checking out paintball tournaments on your-paintball.

From what I have seen though, it looks as if a lot of people like the D-Day kind of warfare, as opposed to the Guerilla warfare type. I don’t know why people would rather rush in and kill the other team when they could hide out and shoot people from the trees. I don’t know, I have always been drawn toward hide and seek type games.

One of the main reasons that I haven’t played is because I don’t have any Paintball Gear. I have been checking a lot of stuff out, like markers and Paintball Guns, but I don’t know if I would ever buy anything. I mean I can’t even get a group of people together, I would need to get some random people together and play if I ever wanted to use them.
