Is there anything more majestic than New York City in the winter? New York City is a wonderful place all year long, but there is something about the winter time that makes it even more spectacular. The stores have their window displays out that probably costs more than most people’s houses, the Rockefeller Christmas Tree, Even just the Empire State Building lit up red and green for Christmas. If you have never been to New York City,. then I highly suggest you go this holiday season.
If you do happen to venture into the city this year, then you shouldn’t just limit yourself to shopping or the Christmas tree, why not take in some culture while you’re there? Visit some of the museums while you are there, take a a Circle Line Sightseeing Cruise to see the skyline. The problem with doing more than one of these things is it is just too expensive. If you were to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the new Greek and Roman galleries, the Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim Museum and the American Museum of Natural History, the top of the Empire State Building Observatory, and get tour from the water aboard a Circle Line Sightseeing Cruise, it would cost you $130.
If you are interested in doing those things, and you want to save some money to spend it on dining and other things, then why not get a New York CityPass? It is $60 and includes admission to those attractions that I listed above, but with the CityPass you don’t need to wait in the long lines for tickets, you can just go right to the attraction. It also includes a map of the city and the best times to visit each attraction. What more could you ask for?
