EDGLRD, pronounced "edgelord," is a Miami-based creative and technology company founded by filmmaker Harmony Korine around 2021. It is not a traditional games company but an art collective spanning film, video games, music videos, fashion, and a skate team, all built around Korine's interest in pushing digital imagery to extremes. Its video game division, EDGLRD Games, launched in 2025, making the company one of the more unusual names to appear on a game as publisher.

Korine built his reputation in independent film, writing Kids and directing Gummo, Spring Breakers, and The Beach Bum. He founded EDGLRD to move past traditional filmmaking, describing the company's work as "post-cinema" and using game engines to build worlds rather than shoot conventional scenes. Its films Aggro Dr1ft and Baby Invasion came out of that idea, heavily stylized, sensory-overload experiments that blur the line between film and video game. That same aesthetic carries directly into the company's approach to games.

EDGLRD Games and Tamashika

EDGLRD launched its games division in 2025, positioning itself as a publisher for experimental, format-breaking interactive work rather than conventional titles. Its first release is Tamashika, developed by solo studio Quicktequila and launched on April 10, 2026. Tamashika is a psychedelic first-person shooter that drops the player into a daily procedurally generated labyrinth with one gun and one blade, leaning on hand-drawn animation and a deliberate push toward a flow state. It fits EDGLRD's sensory-first philosophy exactly, and as of now it is the only game the company has published.

What EDGLRD Represents as a Publisher

EDGLRD is a publisher defined by its founder's taste rather than a broad catalog. Where most publishers chase genres or audiences, EDGLRD backs work that matches Korine's obsession with intensity, motion, and sensory overload, whether that shows up as a film, a music video, or a game. That makes it a small and highly specific presence in games so far, but a distinctive one, and its future in the space depends on whether it publishes beyond Tamashika.
