We're just two cool cats
You are a new delivery cat for EasyCo, however all your shopkeepers keep mistaking you for Seb, the previous driver. When you meet MK, the only dog in the area and a former EasyCo Maintenance worker, they give you quests to advance the story of the game. First he has you get a lighter to burn a roadblock and get you to the second town.
Eventually they will have you activating all radio stations and then getting a bumper. Once you complete that task, you will get into the EasyCo Hydro Dam. Around this time, the shopkeepers begin acting stranger than usual. After getting ice chains, you will be able to drive on the frozen lake so you can get to the factory, the final area of the game.
Inside the factory, MK explains that they used to be close with Seb. Seb shut down after quitting their job to be with MK. They tell you about how the shopkeepers get worse with the more deliveries that happen and the only way to fix them is to reboot them. They will glitch out again after deliveries and need to be rebooted, it’s a never ending cycle. The other option is to shut them down indefinitely.
If you buy a recovery disc, you unlock the true ending, which restores the shopkeepers. You then leave and try to find Seb, hoping that that there is a backup of them somewhere.
