Propaganda Games

Propaganda Games was an American video game developer based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Founded in 2005 by former members of Crystal Dynamics and Black Box Games, they operated as a first-party studio for Disney Interactive. Known for Tron: Evolution and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. Disney closed Propaganda Games in 2011.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End (2007)

A game adaptation of the third Pirates of the Caribbean film. Received mixed reviews but performed adequately as a licensed tie-in, which was the primary goal.

Tron: Evolution (2010)

Released alongside the film Tron: Legacy in December 2010. A third-person action game set in the Grid, serving as a bridge between the original Tron film and Legacy. Mixed reviews but has a following among Tron fans for its visual style and atmosphere.

The Closure

Disney closed Propaganda Games in 2011 as part of broader Disney Interactive restructuring. Propaganda Games was a casualty of a publisher that was never fully committed to the game development business, eventually exiting self-publishing entirely in 2016.
