Nick Jefferson-Tame is the studio's lead artist and creative director, and Adam Mitchell is its lead programmer and technical director. They had worked together for more than 20 years before starting North Star Video Games. Their earlier credits include Lawn Mowing Simulator at Skyhook Games and several projects at Magenta Software, which North Star describes as a BAFTA Award-winning studio. Spray Paint Simulator by North Star Video Games

Spray Paint Simulator puts players in charge of their own painting business in the town of Splatterville. Career Mode follows a group of eccentric clients, with jobs that range from rooms and houses to cars, bridges, and a giant robot, and players manage consumables, tools, and equipment as they work. The game has no time limits and is built to be relaxing. North Star revealed it in September 2024 and released a demo on Steam before launch.

Spray Paint Simulator Xbox Game Pass and Platforms

Spray Paint Simulator launched on May 29, 2025 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, and it was available on day one with Xbox Game Pass. The Nintendo Switch version followed on June 19, 2025.
