I cut up wax on a smelly candle because I burned the wick, but the wax was making the flame go out, so I had to dump the wax in a separate container than the wick. I was bored so I cut up the excess wax and to my surprise it smells better than when the candle was burning. I guess cut up wax has more smell than hot wax?
Everything on Lep’s Lair is basically for my business, if you want to look at Lep’s Lair as a business. It technically is in some ways, but I don’t really see it as that. If I did, then I would find more ways to keep things better updated. What I mean is that I would have a Pos System set up so I can scan in my DVD’s and then have a constantly updated DVD collection, because I have a lot of DVDs that aren’t on the list. I plan on adding them all in eventually, but having something automatic would defintely help.
I could probably think of a whole bunch of other things that I could use to make things easier. If I ever wanted to do in depth movie, or video game reviews then I would need the funding to go on the day they come out and watch, or pick up the item and do an in depth review. If I wanted to do anything like that though I would need Business Funding, or at the very least one or two Unsecured Small Business Loans. If I had that kind of money though then I could put it into some advertising and maybe even paying someone to make me some more graphics for the site.
GTA4 and Halo 3 were the games that I most wanted, and now that I have them I wonder what game will be next that catches my interest. Doom 4 was announced, but after the debacle that was Doom 3, I don’t think I even want to go anywhere near that. Metal Gear Solid 4 looks pretty sweet, but I don’t want to buy a Playstation 3 to play it. Besides it might come to the 360 like the other Metal Gears eventually did. I don’t think I will be getting tied of GTA4 anytime soon though, between the online play, the promise of DLC, and the hugeness that is essentially all of New York City, I don’t think I will get tired of GTA4 until the next one comes out.
A while ago I signed up for SocialSpark to help make some money off my site. I haven’t made much with them because my blog is set to /wp/ and they won’t take a Real Rank for subfolders, only for domains. They also heavily rely on Javascript which can be annoying if my computer is on for days on end, which it usually is. I also wish the design was easier, like I wish I could view all my friends on one page like Myspace, and also not have to have a separate advertiser profile, with a separate everything. It would be much simpler if everything was tied together.
Despite these things that I don’t like, I do like the overall feel of the site. I like how everyone can be an advertiser and a blogger. I also like how they kind of incorporated everything their company does into this one entity. I think they set up a great thing with PayPerPost and then everyone copied them so they went and did their own new thing which would be harder for other people to copy, afterall who wants to make a whole networking site when you have a paid blogging one. I think it is a good thing all in all.
I finally sat down and watched Fantastic 4:Rise of the Silver Surfer. It wasn’t as good as I would have hoped. I liked the first one, but I thought that it was kind of bland. This one suffers from the same fate. The blandness is actually a lot less with the appearance of Galactus and the Silver Surfer. I always loved Galactus in comic book form so seeing him in a movie, no matter what form he takes, is still pretty cool. I hope when they do the Silver Surfer movie that we actually get to see what he looks like. The whole cloud thing was kind of a cop out.
Sunscreen can be annoying at times. I know you’re supposed to wear it when you are in the sun, but the greasy feeling makes me feel dirty. Plus having it on my neck and head make me feel like I am sweating more than I could be. I heard about this new sunscreen from Screen, Inc., it is non greasy and it is made especially for the neck up.
I might wear it more if it wasn’t always so oily, plus if I wear it more then I don’t need to worry about becoming red with sunburn, which I do a lot in the summer time. Maybe they offer tanning products too so that I don’t have to be as white as I am now in the summer, that would be a great change. I could be tan and dye my hair back to blonde, though that would be a dramatic difference than what I normally look like.
I finally finished initial work I was working on for someone. It isn’t a site that I am used to doing, it is actually a political site that is aimed toward the middle class. The website itself is Middleclasspolitics and it is in the same format as Politico and HuffingtonPost. This isn’t the site that I have been working on for more than a year, but it is for the same people, so it is a start right?
You know the old saying I think therefor I am? What if there was something to that? What if the Law of Attraction could ghet you what you wanted and needed and made you what you thought you were. In a way it can, at least according to The Sedona Method and The Secret.
I am not an expert on either subject, though I have seen the Law of Attraction in work and I much say that is is a kind of metaphysical thing that could be coined coincidence if it wasn’t just too perfect. What I mean is getting exactly what you need exactly when you need it isn’t exactly a coincidence.
I am not quite sure what the Sedona Method is exactly but I am thinking about getting the Free DVD and CD that can how The Sedona Method is the bridge between The Secret and the Law of Attraction.
By now everyone knows what the Secret is. I mean it has been around since the early 20th Century and has only just become popular with the help of modern authors and of course who can forget Oprah? Anything that Oprah touches turns to gold it seems, and the popularity of this book is no exception.
Iron Man opened yesterday. I was never a big Iron Man comic book fan, but I loved all of the Marvel superheroes 90’s cartoons. I think it was the 90’s cartoons that actually got me into the whole superhero thing. I will probably wait until Iron Man comes out on DVD before I see it, but I am already hearing people say to wait until after the credits to see a special sneak peak of a movie that will be coming out in a few years. If you have absolutely no idea what I am talking about then let me tell you this, it is the start of something big in the Marvel Universe which Iron Man was a part of. In fact most of the Marvel superheroes were a part of it at some point, including Wolverine and Spiderman.
My traffic seems to have picked up a lot over the course of the last few days, but I am not really sure why. I am behind on sending out comments to people on Myspace who become my friend, and I don’t even remember the last time I commented a website, which sucks because I haven’t been able to read the ones that I love so much. With the work I have to do with these clients though, most of my time is taken up with them. Whatever free time that I have I am either spending it with Krissy or cruising the mean streets of Liberty City starting trouble with cops.
I know that I would love to have some more time for marketing though. I believe that I could increase my revenue for my site along with repeat visitors if I had an email marketing campaign going. If I had an email campaign then I could let people know when I have something new up, like a comment or a wallpaper, but I could also email them to let them know that I have missed them as a visitor, you know so it stays fresh in their mind. Either way I think that Zookoda would be the best thing for me if I could actually find the time to do an email campaign. With them I could benefit not only as being a blogger, but also as being a content provider. Plus they are from the same company who brought us PayPerPost and Social Spark, so I know that they are reliable and won’t screw me over.
This one post on the main page was a lot better idea in my head. The truth is I need a whole new layout but I haven’t had time to do it. All day I have been trying to figure out this problem that I am having with CSV files, so I decided to get back to it and move on to something else which is done and I am back to where I started from.
Another client is switching servers so I am keeping an eye on that making sure everything does what it is supposed to do until they absolutely have to turn it off, that is if they need to turn it off to begin with. On top of this I have a copy of GTA4 that I haven’t been able to give the time it truly needs to be played and I want to finish up things a lot more with one client so I can play, but the temptation to play is still there.
What is it with women and shoes? Krissy needs shoes, a pair of straight up sneakers, but when her and my mother get to talking about it they get into all sorts of things that I know nothing about. To a man if a shoe fits and you can bare to look at it then you will wear it. For a women it is a whole different world of thinking. What does it go with? What color is it? What does it accentuate? I have no idea why something that serves a purpose has to look so pretty or cost so much.
All I know is that for the last week I have heard nothing, but stuff about seychelles shoes, minnetonka boots, tsubo shoes, and stuff like that. Their conversations are really starting to remind me of Sex and the City.
I thought when we moved down here my mother would pick up a gay man and it would be like Will and Grace, I had no idea that things would get even weirder and things would become Sex and the City. It is funny though, because when my aunt is here and you would expect things to be even more like that show, it turns completely and becomes an episode of Absolutely Fabulous. I took a video once, maybe I should take some more and make it a reality segment. What do you think, Absolutely Fabulous in Rehoboth Beach?
