There’s a commercial for Head On that all you do is apply it directly to the forehead. You buy this product and put it on your forehead, but what does that do?

Does it make head aches go away? Does it help with brain freeze? It doesn’t say. Maybe it gives psychic powers, afterall you do put it on your head.

The website doesn’t even say what it does, why would anyone buy a product that you don’t know what it does? Well apparently this product gives relief to headaches, but the Better Business Bureau asked them now to say that, because they simply don’t know if it works. So whose buying this product that has no real benefits according to anyone? Obviously someone if they can afford a commercial.

If you told me last year that I would be working on a website that and getting paid for it, I would have thought you were nuts. The fact is that when I took this job, I didn’t know anything about PHP and I definitely didn’t think that I’d ever get the first part done, let alone be well into the second part of the project.

I guess it is true what they say, how can you know what you can handle, if you only keep handling the things you know you can?

I didn’t realize that the Canadian mail was so slow. I need to wait 4 to 6 weeks for delivery for my Wii. You’d think that considering they are so close, that the mailing system would be quicker. I mean they are officially known as, thanks to the Simpsons, America Jr. Oh well, the 360 will have to hold my attention for now. It looks like I will have a few weeks with the Wii and then I will be alone with Master Chief for a while when I play Halo 3.

I want to build a server. I have my mother’s old computer that came with Windows ME on it, that now has XP, and I have my old computer that started with Windows 98, but easily handled XP. I don’t know if I would use one I have, or just wait until I buy new parts and build my machine now into a server. Probably not, because I don’t need a computer yet, and I don’t do much gaming on my rig to really justify it.

I found a Wii on Ebay for $270 plus $40 shipping. Now anyone who knows anything about hot items knows that since November, when it first came out, you couldn’t find them anywhere. When you did find them they were hiked up astronomically. Well this is a Canadian seller, so I am assuming that the price is the price in Canada and they didn’t up it any, or at least not much anyway. So in a few days, hopefully by Tuesday we will have a Wii on our doorstep.

So I announced that I would play Halo 3 for 24 hours straight. Well I have been hammering out the details, but I still don’t know whether or not I can get the game at midnight or at 9AM during normal store hours. If it is at 9AM, then I will wake up at 8:30 and go there and wait. I will probably be blogging, giving the run down every few hours or so, giving my first opinions, whatever. KIf anyone wants to come and say hello, then by all means go ahead. I wikll be cleaning out my Xbox Live friends list and only saving people that I play with regularly. So if yuou want to be send me a friend invite, my name is leprakhauns.

As for the normal everyday things (eating, bathroom, etc) I will probably eat something quick, maybe order a pizza and eat while I am not killing people, or getting killed. I will be using the bathroom regularly, afterall this isn’t hold your wee for a Wii. I’ll let you guys know more when I know more.

I bought Krissy Tetris Evolution, I played it for about an hour and didn’t even earn one achievement. Now I don’t expect all games to just give you achievements right away, but come on. An hour of making blocks disappear and nothing to show for it. Hopefully Halo 3 will be easier.

I’ve been thinking about picking up Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. I love the X-Men Legends and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance games, so I figured it might be fun, but there’s a lack of online multiplayer so I am apprehensive. Anyone play it? Also I might pick up Marvel Ultimate Alliance. I played it in the Sony store on the PS3 when I was in Atlantic City, but I don’t know if I want to pick that up either, most of the levels look the same as X-Men Legends. I might pick it up for some online multiplayer, that is if anyone still plays it.

If you went to your favorite sites today and they were gone, it probably wasn’t a coincidence. Apparently someone took out most of a data center down in San Francisco earlier today. The person was drunk, and the power outages in the area definitely didn’t help the situation. Most of the sites seem to be back online now, though. I wonder how someone would have been able to get in there, you’d think there’d be security for a place that houses high end sites like Craigslist, Adbrite, and a bunch of others.

As a programmer, servers and server people sometimes get under my skin. A while back Dreamhost, my host, changed the way they do php includes, so now instead of something like lepslair/header.php I need to do ./header.php, which is fine and all because I never really did outside includes. But years later, as I am coming into more programming, and wanting to do somethings where I need to bring in things cfrom other sites, I see how I am limited in doing what I want to do.

The same thing goes for the sites I work on. Sometimes the server people don’t feel like installing perl modules, so I need to wait until they get around to it. I just love the ones who don’t understand what I want, or the ones who I ask to install something and they don’t even know what module I am referring to.

I guess sometimes programmers and server masters are just natural enemies

I finally got Krissy’s graphics card to work. I went from 256mb to 128mb. That’s all right, I don’t do much gaming on my PC anyway. Maybe if I get Sim City 4, but I don’t think I need a 256mb graphics card for that game.

In other news I have no clean clothes. It’s hot and I am not wearing pants to go out, therefore I am doing laundry and hopefully we’ll go to the movie tomorrow or maybe even later tonight when I have some shorts.

Dinner tonite was all right. We went to the Olive Garden, they have great bread after all. Krissy got fettucini al fredo and I got chicken parmesian. Even after not eating all day, we couldn’t eat the whole thing. It was good, though.

We came right home, because after we ate, it was 8:30 and we didn’t really want to see a movie. We might go either tomorrow or the next day, I’ll post a review after I see it because someone emailed me asking if it was good.

Has anyone ever been to Reunion Resort? It looks beautiful there, I’m just wondering if anyone’s had a chance to go there or not. I’ve never been to Florida, as the subject says, but I’ve always wanted to go. I’d ask my parents every year and every year they’d say yes, but we’d never go. So here I am 22 years old and I want to go. I don’t know if it is the fact that I want to go to go, or because I want a picture with Tigger. Gotta love Tigger.

Lately I’ve been keeping track of the Disney News and that just makes me want to go more. I’ve been thinking about how I could save enough money, but I think I’d need to pay off the credit cards first. If and when I do have enough though, I am staying in an Orlando villa.
