Graffiti Games

Graffiti Games is an American independent video game publisher founded in 2017 by Alex Josef, made up of industry veterans with decades of game development experience. The company publishes indie games across PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, with a catalog of over 14 titles released since 2018. Their best-known releases are Blue Fire and the Turnip Boy series, both of which became top-ten selling games on Nintendo Switch and Steam in 2021.

Blue Fire

Blue Fire, developed by Robi Studios and published by Graffiti Games in February 2021, is a precision 3D platformer set in the fallen kingdom of Penumbra. Players navigate the ruins of the kingdom through fast, fluid movement across platforming gauntlets while fighting enemies and uncovering ancient temples. It received positive reviews including an 8/10 from IGN and was nominated for awards at the NYX Game Awards. Blue Fire demonstrated that Graffiti Games could deliver a polished, critically-noticed release beyond the novelty appeal of their other titles.

The Turnip Boy Series

Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion, developed by Snoozy Kazoo and released in April 2021, is Graffiti Games’ signature title. A top-down action adventure game where players control an anthropomorphic turnip fighting a corrupt vegetable government, it became a top-ten seller on Nintendo Switch and Steam in its launch week. The game’s absurd premise and genuinely solid Zelda-inspired gameplay made it one of the more memorable indie releases of the year. Turnip Boy Robs a Bank, the sequel, released in January 2024 and brought the character into a roguelite bank heist format. A prequel, Turnip Boy Steals the Mail, was announced in May 2025.

Other Catalog Titles

Beyond Turnip Boy and Blue Fire, Graffiti Games has published Cyber Hook, a fast-paced 3D parkour platformer, and Elderand, a dark fantasy metroidvania. The catalog reflects a consistent interest in precision platformers and action-adventure games with distinctive visual styles.
