2 Left Thumbs

2 Left Thumbs is an indie game micro-publisher run entirely by one person, Graeme. What started as a YouTube channel focused on game theories, reviews, Flash game retrospectives, and developer interviews grew into a publishing label dedicated to lifting up small indie developers. The name is a play on the phrase “two left feet,” a self-deprecating joke about being bad at games. Graeme has been building the brand since 2015 and officially launched the publishing side in 2021.

How 2 Left Thumbs Started

From YouTube to Publishing

Graeme built 2 Left Thumbs as a YouTube channel first, covering video game theories, easter eggs, Flash game history, and indie developer interviews. The channel gave him a deep familiarity with the indie development community and a platform to promote games he believed in. That foundation made the jump to publishing a natural progression rather than a cold start. He describes himself as a YouTuber turned indie game micro-publisher, and that order matters, the audience and relationships came before the publishing operation.

The Micro-Publisher Model

The Fancy Pants Adventures: Classic Pack

A collection of the classic Fancy Pants Adventures Flash games, brought to Steam. For anyone who spent time on Newgrounds or Miniclip in the mid-2000s, this is a nostalgia hit. Magenta Horizon

A fast-paced 2D action platformer described as a spectacle fighter. Out on PC.

Beloved Rapture

A JRPG that blends old school familiarity with modern game design and themes. Available on Steam and GOG.

WizardChess

A tactical turn-based deckbuilding roguelike built around chess-like combat. Fight procedurally generated battles, acquire and upgrade units, and work toward a boss encounter against the Fae Queen. One of their more recent releases.

Crawling Angels

Released in March 2025, Crawling Angels is one of their newest titles. Details are still fresh but it follows the same pattern of genre-focused indie games the label is known for.

Wasteland Bites

An upcoming title where you run a food truck in the apocalypse, feeding or fighting customers while fending off mutants, UFOs, and rabid dogs. Cooking sim meets survival horror is a genuinely funny concept and exactly the kind of weird indie pitch that fits the 2 Left Thumbs brand.
