Stepico Games is a video game development studio founded in 2014 and headquartered in Lviv, Ukraine. The studio operates primarily as a full-cycle development and co-development partner, handling everything from concept and art production through programming, QA, and post-release support. With a team that grew past 200 after the 2022 acquisition of Inkration, a game art production studio, Stepico has built a substantial operation that works across mobile, PC, and console platforms using both Unity and Unreal Engine.
Their client list includes major IP holders and publishers across the industry. NBC Universal, DreamWorks, Disney, Marvel, Rovio, Gameloft, and Epic Games are among the studios and companies that have brought Stepico in as a development partner. That kind of roster reflects a studio that has established consistent delivery and reliability rather than one chasing its own franchise recognition.
While most of Stepico’s work is done on behalf of other studios and publishers, the company has also developed original titles. Guild of Guardians, a mobile RPG built on blockchain technology in collaboration with Immutable, is among the more high-profile projects the studio has led. Loaded Lions: Mane City, a tycoon simulator developed with Crypto.com, and Nile Valley, a mobile farm game, followed. Discovery, a science fiction first-person shooter built in Unreal Engine, entered development in 2023 and represents the studio’s push into higher-budget original IP.
When Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Stepico continued operating, shifting to remote work and retaining the majority of its staff through the conflict. The studio donated more than $20,000 to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, supported volunteers with vehicles and humanitarian aid, and provided assistance to employees involved in defense efforts. In 2022 they also organized an NFT art project where displaced teenagers in psychological recovery camps created drawings that Stepico’s artists digitized and sold, with proceeds directed to fund the camps. In 2025, Stepico opened a representative office in Australia and joined IGEA, the main industry association for video game companies in Australia and New Zealand.
