Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion (2021)

You play as Turnip Boy, a small turnip who owes enormous amounts in taxes and must do increasingly absurd tasks to pay off the debt. A top-down action adventure with light Zelda-like puzzle and combat elements. Short at around two to three hours but almost entirely joke-driven, and the jokes land consistently. Released on PC and Nintendo Switch with later console ports. It is the right length for what it is doing.

Turnip Boy Robs a Bank (2024)

The sequel shifted to a roguelite structure set inside a bank being robbed by Turnip Boy. Released January 2024 for Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Added more mechanical depth while maintaining the same sense of humor. Launched day one on Xbox Game Pass.
