The Punisher: One Last Kill is a Marvel Television Special Presentation that premiered on Disney+ on May 12, 2026. Jon Bernthal returns as Frank Castle, the role he first played in the Daredevil Netflix series, in a self-contained story that runs about 44 minutes. Reinaldo Marcus Green directed the special from a script he co-wrote with Bernthal, and it is the third Special Presentation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Don't be fooled, just because it's on Disney+ doesn't mean it's for children. It's just as bloody as any R-rated movie. I was expecting it to be more tame, but I am glad I was wrong.
The Punisher One Last Kill Story
Frank Castle has finally tracked down and killed the last people connected to the murders of his wife and children. With the revenge that defined him finished, he is left with the feeling that there is nothing left to do. He drifts through New York haunted by ghosts from his past, visiting the cemetery where his family is buried and struggling to find a reason to keep going. A woman approaches him asking for help, telling him her family was taken from her. Frank realizes the woman is crime lord Ma Gnucci, and that her family died at his hands because the Gnucci family had a role in the deaths of his own. What starts as one last favor pulls him back into the brutal work he was trying to leave behind.
The Punisher One Last Kill Cast
Jon Bernthal stars as Frank Castle, the Punisher, reprising the role from the 2017 to 2019 Netflix series. Judith Light plays crime lord Ma Gnucci. Kris Bowers composed the score. Reinaldo Marcus Green directed and co-wrote the special with Bernthal, and both served as executive producers.
How The Punisher One Last Kill Connects to Daredevil Born Again
One Last Kill picks up after the Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 finale, following Frank Castle's escape from Wilson Fisk's prison, and fills in where he was during Born Again Season 2. It leads into Frank's supporting role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which brings Bernthal's Punisher to theaters on July 31, 2026. The Special Presentation still works on its own with no prior knowledge of Daredevil or the Punisher required. It is the second MCU production centered on the character, following the Netflix series that Marvel Television originally produced, and it sits within Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Is The Punisher One Last Kill on Disney+
Yes. The Punisher: One Last Kill is exclusive to Disney+, where it premiered on May 12, 2026. It is a single self-contained special of roughly 44 minutes, made for mature audiences given the graphic violence the character is known for.
