Mass Effect is a science fiction RPG created by Preston Watamaniuk, Drew Karpyshyn and Casey Hudson and owned by Electronic Arts.
My first time playing Mass Effect!
You are Commander Shepard, who’s gender, appearance, military background, combat-training and first name are determined by you. The character creator is massive and pretty cool and I tried my best (and it kind of worked, but not really) to make my Shepard look like Felicia Day. Throughout the game, you meet the Citadel Counsil which is the main authority in your system and makes you the first human Spectre.
The Citadel is nice this time of year.
Throughout the game you choose who to befriend, who you can have in your party, and even who you can romance. I unfortunately couldn’t figure out how to romance anyone in my first playthrough. Maybe if I ever get around to playing the Legendary Edition (whenever it goes on EA Play which you get with Game Pass) then I will figure it out as well as play the sequels.
This planet is so pretty.
Throughout my playthrough the Counsil got in my way and when I could finally tell them off, I did. I may have lost some friends along the way, but that’s to be expected in games like this and when you play as if everyone is out to get you (they weren’t, except the Counsil, fuck them.
Eventually you need to fight through the Geth Forces and have a choice to save the Counsel or let them perish and become leader of the new Counsel. I chose to let them perish, I’m in charge now.
