I Broke Oblivion

When I got my Xbox 360 in 2006, I picked up Oblivion with it. I had never played an Elder Scrolls game before, so I wasn’t even sure what I was getting myself into. What I got was an RPG with an in depth story and memorable characters. It also got me a magical stick that shot lightening. I needed the stick to open a door I believe, but I used up all the lightening fighting guards and I couldn’t progress. I did try and find a way to open the door or charge the stick back up, but I was not able to and eventually gave up.

Today, after months of rumors, an Oblivion remaster was not only announced, but released as well. Now I will be able to play it with updated visuals on Xbox Series X or PC, included with Game Pass. I have been thinking about going back and starting over, but this just gives me more motivation to do just that.

2006 me couldn’t beat it, but could 2025 me do it? Quite possibly. Part of me wants to try and break it again though. I would love to see if they fixed it and made it so the door could open without it, but it’s been so long, I have no idea how I would even get to that same part of the game. I am not sure if it was a main storyline point or a side quest. Either way, this time when I play it, it will be on stream and the videos will be put on LepsLair as is standard now.

Oblivion Remaster is out now for PC, Xbox Series S/X and Playstation 5. There are rumors of the game coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 at some point in the future as well.

We Have Returned

A lot has happened in the last few months. Has it really been months since I last posted? It’s not for a lack of trying, it was for a lack of time. Work has been eating up a lot of my time, but also I have been addicted to Balatro and this one mobile game called Zombie Waves. I’ve spent so much time distracted by them that I have not written any new game writeups, blogs, tutorials, or anything. Now that I am getting the urge to play them out of my system though, I am going to come back and write more and post more content in general. I am currently moving all my local videos of streams to an external drive so I can upload them to Youtube when I am upstairs in my den and I will probably start to add new games over the weekend. This way I can add more content to the individual video game pages. I also would like to add more character pages too.

My ultimate goal is to have an (as close as possible) unbiased site, maybe have guest writers come on and write about things I don’t know much about, like anime, manga, etc. Essentially kind of like IGN, but without a corporation behind it. I would also love to add things that I’ve watched into the fold too, but besides reviewing television shows and movies, I’m not sure how I could do that in the same way I have done with video games.

I will get back to writing about video game news soon, perhaps even bringing back a preview section for upcoming games, maybe even movies and stuff as well. Either way I am excited for this to grow and get back to writing as I have missed it.
