Cops Need Clothes Too

Did you know that Bates boots, or any other police gear make great gifts for your cop friends? It’s true. I know some cops and they have to pay for a lot of their gear, so having a uniform, or at least part of a uniform given to them as a gift is a real honor for them. Figure a police officer works five days a week, that is five days of clothes he needs. That can get expensive.

Lost… Wow

When the producers of Lost sat down with ABC to discuss an end date possibility I assumed that the answers that fans had wanted would wait until the final season. If you have been watching Lost this season you would know that it isn’t the case at all. Every week seems to reveal a new answer or two, while setting up different questions. If this season is a glimpse into what we can expect from now until the finale, then I say bring it on.

Designer Children’s Clothes

When you are living in LA or New York, everything you own has to be made by a famous designer. I am not just talking about your Prada shoes, I am talking everything from your handbag to your sunglasses. Even if the things you own don’t necessarily pertain to you. If your dog has a jacket then that has to be a famous designer as well. You even need to have
designer baby clothes for the little ones. If you are living in one of the fastest city’s in the United States though, why wouldn’t you want to have everything designer?

In those cities you are seen how you dress, so being up on the latest fashion is key to your success as a person and in your career. You wouldn’t want to go to work on Wall Street or into a fashion shoot wearing Walmart based clothing do you? Of course not, and you wouldn’t want your children to be seen in anything less than the best because that could be a reflection of you. Think about it, if you can’t dress your children in the best then how can you be seen wearing the best for yourself? Afterall a mother should come second to her children.

GTA4 Tuesday

With the way things are going right now by Tuesday I could have four brand new tires on my car along with Grand Theft Auto 4. I didn’t think I would be able to pull it off, but some funds came in last minute and rather quickly that I didn’t think I would have. It would be nice to take a trip back to Liberty City, afterall I haven’t been there since GTA3. I wonder what has changed?

Australia Mate

I have wanted to visit Australia since I saw the Simpson’s episode where Bart makes a prank call to them and he has to apologize. Plus I also think the accents down there are really cool. Watching Lost, and the couple of times they showed Sydney, it looked beautiful so I would definitely like to visit that city. Also the country side down there looks cool too, especially with the koalas and kangaroos running around in the wild. Eventually I will take a Flight to Australia with Krissy, but right now I can’t even afford to take a flight to Liberty City (pick up a copy of Grand Theft Auto 4).

Delayed

I have hit a snag with the new thing, I am going to need to do some research because I was able to have it working on other servers just not my own. I know it isn’t anything Dreamhost did because I already asked them about it. I think I am just missing something that I must have overlooked. I will figure it out soon though.

Atomic Watches

No your eyes aren’t deceiving you, that is a watch. It isn’t just any watch though, it is a watch that I want that gets the date and time from the Fort Collins, Colorado transmitter as long as you are within a 2,000 mile radius. It isn’t just that one that does that however, a lot of Casio watches do that. I like having things done automatic for me, even if it is as menial as setting the time on a watch. With the watch, you know that you will always have the right time, especially considering that it will be getting the information from an atomic clock.

Getting it Done

I am finishing up on something that will take this site into a new direction. I am not going to reveal what it is just yet, that will have to wait until it is done, but I will say that it will hopefully be up today and I hope a lot of people will use it. It is technically a start of a new subsection in the Funbox section, so I hope with the start of it, that it takes off rather quickly.

Advertise to the Masses

Advertising is the key to any successful business. While that statement is very true, it is also very vague. There are many different kinds of advertising. You can have a billboard up on Interstate 80, or you could have a television commercial in rotation at the cable company. Both are effective forms of advertising, but they are also very different.

A lot of smaller companies also don’t think outside the box when it comes to advertising. When they hear that word they instantly think commercials and billboards and anything big that costs a lot of money. The truth is that it doesn’t need to cost that much. There are many cheap ways to advertise. You can print up business cards and leave them at grocery stores, or you could make up a lot of pens and hand them out to random people. You can even print up discount checks that connect to your bank account to use when you are purchasing for your business. The point is that you don’t need to advertise big, you can advertise in a smaller sense that gets out to many individual people.

If you satisfy one person then that person will most likely tell another person, and the tree will grow from there. You would have all those satisfied customers just because you gave away a few free pens.

Tires

I need to get tires this week. I am also in the market for an oil change. I am going to see if Pep boys can do it fairly cheap. I don’t need the best tires, I just need tires with some traction so I am not all over the road. Hopefully when I call them tomorrow they can give me a good price.

Social Spark is Here

The economy is bad. Children are hungry because parents can’t afford to feed them as much as they used to. People are loosing their jobs and they simply can’t find another one to make the kind of money they need to maintain their quality of life. For those who have good jobs, it is the rising gas prices that are eating away at their pockets. A Hybrid Prius now costs over $40 to fill up its gas tank.

If those two things weren’t bad enough, food is also going up in price. Even if you have a good job and a short commute to work, you are still spending more money at the grocery store. Even cheap food sources such as a slice of pizza are going up in price because of the price of milk and grain. It is a bad time for us Americans, and I fear it will only get worse.

There are some things that you can do to relieve the strain of the rising prices. You can always get a second job, but if spending time with your family is too important to you then you could try making money online. SocialSpark is a good way to make some extra cash. It is the latest thing from Izea, the same people who brought you PayPerPost. Since it is from such a trustworthy company, you know that they have a strict moral code that they obide by. That code includes Audit-able in-post disclosure, 100% transparency, real opinions, and they are search engine friendly.

Personally I have been using PayPerPost for over a year. Social Spark is a great extension of that, that offers a lot of great new features, things like ways to get your blog out there for free, and an extensive place to meet new people who use the site to make money like you do.

Sarah Connor Chronicles Press Release

As I reported a few weeks ago, The Sarah Connor Chronicles was renewed. Here is the official press release from Fox.

FOX TAKES BACK THE FUTURE WITH A SECOND SEASON OF “TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES”

This Season’s No. 1 New Scripted Series Returns with All New Episodes

Brian Austin Green Joins the Cast as a Series Regular

FOX has picked up 13 episodes of TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES (T:SCC) for the 2008-2009 season.

The explosive, season-ending cliffhanger left CAMERON (Summer Glau) rocked by a car bomb and SARAH CONNOR (Lena Headey) close to locating an important Skynet component. Viewers were left with unanswered questions regarding DEREK’s (Brian Austin Green) true intentions and JOHN’s (Thomas Dekker) fate as the savior of mankind. These questions and more will be answered in season two of TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES.

The show currently ranks as the No. 1 new scripted series this season among Adults 18-49. The action packed series represents an exciting reinvention of the “Terminator” film franchise, in which the strong and intrepid Sarah discovers that protecting her son and stopping the rise of the machines is more difficult than she had ever imagined.

Produced by C2 Pictures in association with Warner Bros. Television, TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES is executive produced by Josh Friedman and John Wirth. James Middleton serves as consulting producer, while Toni Graphia serves as co-executive producer and Natalie Chaidez serves as a consulting producer for the series.
