Aunt’s Buying Children’s Furniture

My aunt moved her father into her house, and in doing so moved one of her sons to the den. Now she has decided tat the den should be her son’s official new room, so she has been going all over looking for Kids Bedroom Furniture. Last time I talked to her, I think she had found a bed, but I think she is still looking for Childrens Desks and a
Childrens Chair. I know he’s just content sitting on the floor when playing video games, so I don’t know why either of those are important, but to her they are. I guess for homework, but every time I saw him doing homework he was sitting at the kitchen table, so I don’t think that is it. It might just be a decorating thing.

The 21st Century Family

Politicians are saying that the American family is failing, but what they don’t realize is that while the family structure may be changing, it is definitely not failing. It is true that the divorce rate is high in America, but that doesn’t mean that families are failing, just that marriages are.

In the twenty first century families are more than just people you are related to by blood, they are people you are related to by circumstances, experiences, and just plain choice. Friends are closer than ever, having ways to constantly stay in touch through the use of technology. Ten years ago you’d never find people on the internet who were away who were your extended family, but the times have changed, and whether you speak to them on the phone, the internet, face to face, no matter what you might someday consider them family.

While the government may be saying that the American family is failing, who are they to generalize us? The family structure is different now, but it is a lot stronger than it was in the 1990’s.

Zenni Optical

I need new eyeglasses. Mine are all scratched and that scratch resistant coating that is on there is coming off. I should have probably gotten new glasses a while ago, back when I actually had insurance, but I would still need to pay out of pocket for the frames and the lenses. I wish I had known about ZenniOptical back then. I would be able to get a new pair of glasses and frames for around eight dollars.

Since I no longer have insurance I have to not only pay for the glasses, but also for the doctor’s appointment. I know Walmart has an obstetrician on the premises in some stores, but I haven’t been able to find one in New York yet, when I do though I am going to get a new prescription and then go through ZenniOptical to fill it. My last plan about finding out the prescription from the doctor who last prescribed my glasses fell through, since they don’t give that information out over the phone, but they can’t deny me the prescription if I have an appointment with the doctor. I would even buy backup pairs since they aren’t as expensive as going through a retail store.

Candy Corn

Candy corn never tastes better than it does in October. In November they have that brown candy corn, and in December you may be lucky enough to find the red and green stuff, but it just doesn’t taste the same as it does right around Halloween. I guess maybe it is the familiar colors and the taste of the season. Anyone else know what I am talking about?
