Cisco

Back when I was in college, I wanted to have a degree or a certification in anything and everything I could. I wanted to have a certificate in web programming, A+ and Cisco certification, degrees in Computer Science and Web Design. Looking back I realize how impractical and illogical this is, but I still wonder about some of these things, like the Cisco certification.

I have done some aspects of network security, but that was with the programs and firewalls that I would use to block out intruders from an in house network, I never have done anything more advanced than that though. I would love to do the network security for a huge building, but I would need the network security backround that a Cisco Certification would offer. I think that if I ever do have an in house server then I might pick up a bunch of books on the subject, maybe trying for a certification after I put a full blown secure network together, but I doubt I will do it before hand. That is a dream that is going to have to be put off for a while though due to lack of funs, and the lack of a real need for an in house full blown server.

I may not have the money right now, but I know that eventually I will be able to go back to school, a good school, to get all the training I want and need to do what I want to do, which at this point I am doing, I would just like more education behind what I am doing and where I am going with it all.

RV

I have this dream and I have had it for a while, probably since middle school or maybe even before that, I want to drive through and visit all 48 Continental United States. I originally wanted to do it right after high school, but lack of funds proved to be an issue. Then I met Krissy and shared my dream with her and it went from driving through in a car to driving through in an RV. The dream is still years away, even Used RVs are out of my price range at this point, but I know in my heart that eventually we will be able to do it. Maybe if everything goes well by the time we are 30, but I don’t know about all that now.

One Small Step for Man

I try and get something done for my site at least once a month, though I really want to get something done once a week, if not more. My last two updates haven’t been significant for users, but they have been for me. I had tons of DVDs to actually go through and add and in the latest one I had been able to add it and edit it from the Mac. Over the next week I am going to try and get a lot done on the Mac, email checks, programming, all that, but only if Krissy isn’t going to be using it. The keyboard takes a little getting used to, but I just can’t get the hang of the mouse. I might have to plug in a 2 button mouse so I don’t keep hitting random things.

As for the updates on this site, they may seem insignifigant to you, but I have a whole list of things that need to get done. I am going to attempt to get some work done tomorrow then attempt to work on the Spiderman section, but that may not get done at all. I also have work and pictures to upload for the gallery, but again I don’t know when that will get done. Maybe being on the Mac I will be enticed to edit photos and then jut have to upload them.

It’s Magic

I think the main difference between Harry Houdini and today’s magicians like Criss Angel is the technology used in their tricks. Today everything is more advanced, plus people aren’t in the same mind set as they were in the 1800’s so magic has had to adapt with the thinking of people. The more complex people think, the more complex the magic has to be.

I have always loved magic, I used to love watching the masked magician revealing the secrets of magicians, I wish he hadn’t unveiled himself, but I believe him revealing the secrets allowed for magic to advance in new ways. I have seen some of Criss Angels things, and I have discovere how some of his tricks work. Just because I know how they work, doesn’t mean I wouldn’t love to go to the CRISS ANGEL Believe show. It is Criss Angel along with Cirque Du Soleil, so it has to be nothing short of amazing. I think I am going to enter the contest to try and win two tickets to the show. To enter all I have to do is text ‘Believe’ to 22122. It may be a long shot, but it is worth it to try and get tickets to the show.

RIP George Carlin

By now you have heard the George Carlin is dead. He died Sunday night due to heart failure. I, unlike most Americans, was first really introduced to him during his sitcom back in the 90s.He was a brilliant comedian and I am sad there won’t be any more specials, but I hope that his death will bring about box sets so I can enjoy his work anytime I want.

Domain Scorecard

I just took the domain name scorecard from Network Solutions and I really didn’t score that good. I mean granted I don’t actually have a brand of my own and my website is looked at as a business second, but still, my highest score was in the Extension Score category and it was still below fifty percent, which isn’t good, but as I said it isn’t exactly a full blown business per say and I look at it as a business second, if I even look at it that way at all since I am still on the fence about it.

For a full blown business though, the scorecard can definitely help. It will analyze how your website and all the websites you have registered through your business are actually helping the business. It is a very impressive tool and I am surprised that no one has thought of it before. What it does is it will tell you alternate ways of your domain name and explain how your competitors can take the misspelled domain names and make money with them. Since you don’t own the misspelled names then there is no copyright infringement so it is perfectly legal for them to do that and a lot of businesses do it so they can outsell their competitors.

Computer’s Still Dead

I plugged everything into the computer I was going to be usiing as a video capture/server and it wouldn’t boot. It seems that the motherboard is dying or already dead, though it might just be the graphics card, I am not really sure. See the computer will boot, but with options that the BIOS is out of date then it will freeze or reboot itself and the video will not come on screen. I am thinking I will need to buy a new motherboard to replace this one, but I think I would rather just buy a new whole computer, I am not really in the mood to starttrying to build a computer when I have no money, with my luck it will die and I won’t be able to get my money back.

Touring

We will be heading to New York soon, but we do not really have the time or money to take a Trusted Tours & Attractions tour. Besides we aren’t really going up to the city, we are driving right passed it and going to the Island. Eventually I would love to take one of the New York City tours I have been hearing so much about. I have been checking out online travel guides to see what is in the area we are going to and maybe seeing if I can go out and find something to do while Krissy is with her girlfriends or sister, this way I won’t be stuck inside while she’s gone.

Eventually I will be taking one of their tours, I hear they are really good and I plan to travel a lot in the futureso finding things to do in San Francisco and other major cities won’t be a problem if I take a tour of the city. I have already signed up for their newsletter because you can win a GPS system just by signing up. A chance to win a GPS is a good reason to sign up for the newsletter if you ask me.

I Know Who Killed Me

Wow so I started watching I Know Who Killed Me and originally I thought the movie was going to be some bland teeny bopper type horror movie. I was wrong. Lindsay Lohan returns to her roots you could say, and the story has so many twists and turns you won’t know what is coming up next. I won’t ruin it for you, but I must say that if you are into horror or suspense then you should definitely see it.

Office Furniture

We have been talking a lot about moving again and we have come to the conclusion that we might just leave some furniture and buy new. Mainly what we would be buying is new Office Furniture, this way everything matches and we can have a nice set to do work with when there’s work to do. It would be nice to have matching desks and book cases for once, instead of furniture that has been picked up in random places. I would really like a nice solid oak L-shaped desk with a really tall hutch, though I am sure that would cost a pretty penny. New Office Furniture sure would make a big difference, maybe we will see how much money we have and then decide which would be more cost effective.

We Are FAMILY

In the 40’s and 50’s a man could be the only member of the household working and be bring home a salary that would take care of 3 to 4 people. Nowadays it takes two people at least, sometimes working more than one job to just make ends meat for themselves. If you have a child at home then you are pretty much screwed because you need to buy things that you wouldn’t necessarily pay for if they weren’t around, like a babysitter or daycare, plus diapers if need be. A mother barely spends any time with her children nowadays, they are usually raised by a nanny or a family member who doesn’t work. Sometimes even an older sibling is taking care of them while the parents are working.

There are legitimate ways to make extra income from home, and if you do that then you have more time to spend with your family and raise your children. I think the easiest way to make money at home is to run a blog and put paid advertising on it from SocialSpark. This month I have only made about 50 dollars extra from them, but your earnings depend on how popular your blog is and what your interests are. There are people currently making a few hundred dollars a month just with Social Spark. Think about what you could do with a couple hundred dollars that you make from sitting at home. Maybe you could cut out that second job, or cut hours from your day job. Either way you are getting to be where you belong, with your family

I see your Rabbit and Raise you a Bunny

I’ve been thinking about doing a video post, but I am not really sure what it would be about. I was thinking about just a random one wher I ramble on about how Bella chases bunnies, but I don’t know if it would be funny or just dumb. I think it is hilarious but I think people might think there was something wrong with me if I posted it. Then again, maybe there is something wrong with me.
