Bidding on GAF

I have been bidding on GAF trying to earn extra income, but so far nothing. Most of what I am bidding on is ongoing work so I can have more income each month. More income is always good, right? Since Google screwed me over I have been a few hundred dollars short of what I am used to so I am trying to make that money up somehow. Hopefully something comes along.

College Sweepstakes

It is my goal to get a College Education. The problem is that in order to get one you either have to b e rich or shell out a lot of money to get a good one. I have entered myself into a drawing that if I win I could win $50,000 toward a scholarship, but I don’t know if I will win, I hope I do, this way I can finally get the degree I want.

Fuck You Mitt Romney

Mitt Romney has said that if he stayed in the race for the Republican candidacy then it would only help Obama and Clinton. He went on to say if he stayed in the race then it would help the terrorists. I say fuck you Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney also stated that marriage needs to be constituted as a man and woman, to this I say fuck you Mitt Romney.

Why do people get married? Well in Washington they would have you believe they do it because of tax breaks and because one person is a man and the other is a woman. They don’t tell you it’s because of love, because of security. To Washington I say fuck you all of DC who opposes gay marriage. Fuck you George Bush and George W. Bush, fuck you Dick Cheney, fuck all of your Republican party.

It would be amusing to see them get raped in the ass and then realize that they like it.

Valentine’s Day 2008

I was browsing through 1800 flowers to see if I could find anything relatively cheap and I saw that they had valentine’s day roses that weren’t a bad price. They were too rich for my blood, especially after I did my taxes last night, but I don’t think that for roses at this time of year that’s a bad price. They have a lot of Valentine’s Day specials going on right now and I saw some really nice things, but to spend money that I don’t have right now on that would kill me financially, especially since I think we are going out to dinner on Valentine’s Day. I just need to find out what is open down here and see if I can make reservations at the place I’d like to go.

Tax Cuts for the Rich

John Mccain wants to make Bush’s temporary tax cuts permanent. I have a problem with this. Why? Because the people who benefit the most from the tax cuts are the rich. The rich already has money, so giving them more money isn’t going to make them spend it any quicker. They will simply hold on to it and not put it back into the economy like the government wants them to do. A similar tactic was tried in the 1930’s afte the stock market crashed. It didn’t work then and it won’t work now.

Yes poor people getting tax breaks will help them out, but it won’t help the overall economy. Why? Simple. The poor have no money, any extra money they receive will either be put into a savings account or spent on something they need, not something they would like to have. What these people fail to realize is that no matter what the government wants them to do with their tax breaks, people will not be going out and buying a big screen television to make the economy better when they can barely afford to put food on the table.

Learn from the past, this tactic didn’t work in the past, it won’t work now, and it will not work if tried again in the future. Open your eyes people, it is time for a change, a New Deal for the New Age.

Izearank.com’s Real Rank

When Google made it known that they would be dropping ranks of anyone who did paid blogging or was a part of a link farm, panic ensued around the internet. Who were they to make the rules of how things should be calculated and what links should be counted toward a page rank? Some people folded under the pressure and stopped doing paid posts all together just to maintain their Page Rank. This doesn’t really make sense to me because what good is a Page Rank if you aren’t going to be using it for something?

For a few weeks people complained about what Google had done, but no one really did anything to stop it. That is until one company decided to say not to our posties. Izea, owner of PayPerPost, stepped up and released their own ranking system, Real Rank at IZEARanks. Unlike Google, Real Rank isn’t based on search engine statistics. It is based on a combination of things, the main one being your traffic. The higher your traffic, the lower your Real Rank. It has nothing to do with PayPerPost so you don’t have to worry about Google dropping your Page Rank if you use Real Rank.

For the month of February, Izea is giving away $1000 a week to the number one Real Ranking blog. If that isn’t enough motivation to register your site, then what is?

Clinton, Obama Neck in Neck

Clinton and Obama are still neck in neck. What I think is kind of funny is that they aren’t neck in neck because there wasn’t a white man to take the majority of the votes, even when there was one these two minority candidates were still the front runners of the Democratic party. I am not saying that they are minorities to offend anyone, but if they were in the majority then there would have been a woman or a black president before now.

They are in a dead heat because they aren’t what you expect a president to be. Hillary can be a bit robot like, much like the presidents that have come before her, but she is still different in that she’s a woman. I think Obama is the first real different presidential candidate. I mean he speaks like he could be your friend and not just your president. He is a real person and I think that is what appeals to people.

They are both change in the most superficial way possible, and with the superficial, hopefully if one of them wins then deeper change will come. I throw my support behind Obama, that is who I voted for yesterday and that is who I will continue to endorse.

To some people who know me this can come as quite a shock. I wouldn’t say I would be racist, but I think I am about as racist as any white man who grew up in white neighborhoods, change scares people. Color of skin is a big thing to most people, it doesn’t mean they are racist, it just means they aren’t used to it. I support Obama because he can get us Universal Healthcare, because I believe in order to help the poor it is better to have been poor. I am not saying that Clinton would do a bad job, I just think that Obama would do better. Vote for Obama.

Krissy’s Car Shopping

Krissy is getting more and more comfortable with driving, and she has been started looking at potential cars. She doesn’t want a new car, but a used one just because she is learning how to drive. She has been checking out Car Prices just to get an idea of what she can afford, how many miles she can expect it to have, that kind of thing. After she gets her license I am sure she will be buying one.

Obama Behind Clinton

Super Tuesday is over, but there are still plenty more states that could decide the outcome of the democratic party. Hillary is only about 100 points ahead of Obama so if you are an Obama fan then I urge you to get out and vote for him. If you are a Hillary fan, stay home relax and chill. Let the other Hillary fans vote for you. Come on Barack fans, stand up and be heard. Obama in ’09.

Afford a House?

Krissy is trying to get a job where the pay is really good. If she can get the job then we will be able to look into Mortgages and possibly buy a house a lot sooner than we had thought. I mean so far we were just looking for apartments, but a mortgage might be better, this way we have roots and can do what we want to the place and not have to settle for apartment living. Plus living in an apartment you tend to lose money. Right now I have been looking at the free financial advice that places offer and if she gets the job then we will definitely be able to afford a mortgage, according to them at least.

Speeding Tickets

I have gotten speeding tickets in the past. A lot of times that I was pulled over for speeding I was either able to give a PBA card or just simply talk my way out of it. When that didn’t work I went to court and fought it, just so I wouldn’t have any points on my license. I haven’t gotten a ticket of any kind in a few years now, but just in case I do I am reading up on how to fight a speeding ticket, just in case I ever get another one again. I most likely will, just because I like to go faster than the speed limit, especially on a highway where the speed limit is 35 miles an hour.

Venom Movie

The WGA and Marvel solved their dispute a few weeks ago, and why shouldn’t they? The comic book industry is half writers and the other half are illustrators, so it makes sense that they would be the first ones to settle their differences. Since then it has been reported that the Venom spinoff movie is moving along nicely. I can’t wait for it, but I hope they make some much needed changes in the movie that should have been in Spiderman 3.

First he needs to have the tongue. That is partly what makes Venom, Venom. Secondly, if Spiderman is in the movie then have it explain how Venom can fight him without being sensed, and why he has all the powers of Spiderman.

They should continue the story after Spiderman 3 and not start over. Maybe right before the explosion Venom swung off, maybe Brock Eddie Brock Jr. is dead, but Eddie Brock Sr. gets the symbiote (a stretch I know), but don’t have it start over. I think it would be cool to see maybe Iron Man show up and use some sonar on him like he did in the cartoon.

In any case, I am anxiously awaiting this movie.
