Insomnia is Back

So I suppose my insomnia is back, seeing as how it is 4:38 AM and I am still awake. I just did another coat of black paint on my bed and I set up the main configuration of my office, but I haven’t brought in my desktop from my car yet. I want to wait until all my furniture is painted, but my mother is bugging me to set hers up so I would need to find my desktop and install it and set up the printers and all that jazz, something I don’t feel like doing. At least after my bed is finished I only need to paint my dresser and the tv stand. I am still contemplating my need for a television in my office, I think I do need one seeing as how I’ll be spending most my days in here working on school work and other stuff, plus it will be the room with the router so I would need it for my Xbox Live.

Speaking of XBox, I have been hearing a lot of complaints of the 360 keeps overheating. I guess it is good I didn’t buy it, but I will try and save my mooney for the PS3. Sony has never dissappointed me in the console world, and I wish to get Nintendo Revolution too, when that too comes out. As for the 360, I’ll wait until the overheating is resolved.

I’m a Delawarean

So I am in Delaware now, all hooked up to the internet and ready to go. The last few days have been hectic, getting the closing all sorted out and stuff. There were a few issues that arose, no gutters on the house, low water pressure, an uncovered drain in the back of the property, and a few others. Everything worked out fine though and now we are in the house. I’ve been painting the last few days, not much got done though because we didn’t buy much paint and the walls are textured and sucked it up. And being yesterday was Thanksgiving Lowes was closed.

I know I need to add more to the site, and update the about me, but there is so much to do in my life outside the site, that I don’t know when I will get it done. Plus at this point I am more in a meet new people kind of mode because I don’t know anybody in Delaware. If you live in Delaware speak up and leave a comment.

It is so much different down here, everyone is nicer and don’t look at you like you’re going to rob them. It reminds me of Ohio, but more cultured I guess the word would be. Everything closes around here pretty early in the winter because it is so dead down here. I am going to be hitting some cyber cafes in the coming days because I think it might be a good place to meet people with similar interests. I went into one the other night, but the guy was just like it’s winter nobody is around, so I need to find what people do here in the winter. It also doesn’t help that I won’t be going to school until January.

All in all I miss Jersey to a degree, but there is something about living this close to the beach that seems so serene. I just have so much to do that I can’t enjoy it fully: painting the living room, kitchen, hallway, my room, my office, my bathroom, my mom’s room, and my mom’s bathroom, buying/building an L-shaped desk, unpacking, Christmas, decorating my office in a professional manner.

Moving Day

Moving day is finally here. I am not even sure if everything is packed. All the garbage is by the dumpster, wood and everything and they are threatening us with a fine. The fine is actually pretty cheap, so I laugh in the face of their fine.

The movers will be here at 9AM today, then we need to clean the house. By tonite I’ll be in a hotel room in Rehoboth Beach. Then on Wednesday we move into the new house.

I’d better get going so I can pack my computer up. Hopefully I’ll be online in the hotel room, or find a late night wifi cafe. So for the last time in NJ, this is Sean Noble, signing off.

Fifty Blogs

So this blog marks the 50th blog I’ve done. When I started this, I didn’t think I’d be so into blogging, and now it seems like even if I have nothing to blog about I am still writing. I even got back into writing poetry due to the blog.

The site is over a year old and the blog is only since about June or so, but it seems like the site has come a long way. It isn’t perfect, there is still much more to add, like a more sections and more tutorials, specifically website help and some C++ tutorials. But in a year it has progressed nicely.

So today I am going back to Delaware. the inspector is coming to look at the house make sure everything is up to code and such. Well I’d best be going now I want to shave my head before we go.

Behind the Scenes

The forum has been messed up for the last day or so due to me messing around with it. Don’t worry I will have it back running normally soon. There was some errors in the forum that I didn’t know about until I went from page to page to check it out. I am doing the best I can so please bear with me.

I just woke up, I don’t know if I’m sick or I’m depressed because I have been sleeping a lot lately. Maybe I am sick because my throat is hurting a bit.

Delaware was interesting, but due to circumstances beyond our control, we may need to go back down there on Thursday. I may not go and just let my mom go if I am sick though. Okay well that’s all for this post I need to fix these problems and pack.

Delaware Again Tomorrow

[Edit] After fixing Kelly’s temp layout, I was in the mood for a change on my site. Here you have it. It will be around for a while.[/Edit]

So I need to go to Delaware again tomorrow with my mom and her friend, which means I won’t be able to see Kelly tonite because I need to go pick up dinner at like 11 or so. I hate not seeing Kelly, but I guess it is just something that has to be done at times. Sad

I was going to leave all my wires and drives in the sterilite containers and tape them up, but decided against that and actually packed them. I also installed a webserver so I don’t need to keep testing my site live anymore.

Yesterday I went back to my old college to play a game of AOE3 with my friend Mike and he ended up annihilating me, all’s fair in fun and war though.

Age of Empires 3

So I got a copy of Age of Empires 3 and I am very impressed. The voice acting isn’t as bad as most other video games, actually it is quite good and the graphics are amazing. The Native American tribes play a big part, allowing you to control their warriors and trade with them. You are the controlling general and the other players on your team (AI) ask if they can give up, and you can choose to allow them to resign or keep fighting. The only dissappointment I have in it is the lack of water battles. In AOE2 there’s more of an emphasis on water battles and allow you to control water inept societies like the Vikings. All in all though I love this new distraction.

I did get some packing done. I went to sleep at 2 and woke up a few hours later and I am fully refreshed. I was able to get some packing done, which I am almost done I suppose, most of my stuff is in those Sterilite draws, I am just going to tape the fronts closed and take the stuff like that.

My car was put in the shop yesterday, I don’t know what’s wrong with it yet. I hope it is nothing serious, seeing as how this is my third car.

Packing Up is Hard to Do

It seems as though everytime I try and pack, I get distracted. Everytime I put something in a box and seal it, I wind up openning the box because I packed something I wanted. I suppose I am being childish, but I packed up my DVD’s and I opened the box so I could watch Hackers. When moving day rolls around I’m going to have all these open boxes that I am going to be hurrying to close up. As for the distractions, video games, my girlfriend and my website have been distracting me.

I had a great time with my girlfriend, Kelly dispite feeling sick. We went to dinner, and spent most of the day in each others arms, which is always nice when you aren’t feeling well, I just hope I don’t get her sick.

The other distraction, you may have noticed. The menu now has a more visually appealing factor, and the Halo 2 stats are back with a new layout for the front page in the About Me section. I also fixed some problems with my chatroom. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have video games that won’t play themselves.

I Don’t Know You Anymore

This past week I’ve been talking to my friend Noah whom I haven’t seen in years. It is so strange when we depart from people and not see them in years. I mean when I last spoke to him he was 15 and in Plainsboro, NJ, but now he’s 19 and in Montreal, Canada. It’s strange to see how the tides of time change some people. If we weren’t around to see the changes that we ourselves make everyday and came back years later, we too wouldn’t recognize ourselves. I read a book where a girl went in a coma and woke up four years later and didn’t recognize herself, and had to get used to the changes that went on while she wasn’t there to witness them. It’s scarey to think of what could happen in four years or even one year, or even six months to those you love.

I have a lot of stuff I wrote from back then, personal stuff not appropriate for the web, andI can see that I have changed. I don’t remember changing, I don’t making a decision to be different, it just happened. I guess that’s the thing they call growing up huh? To change so much that your former self would be proud of the man you have become. I suppose sometimes it is good that you don’t consciously change because then maybe you wouldn’t want to do it and you would fight the change. Whatever the reason we grow and change, just try and change into the person you always wanted to. I guess that’s where we get the idea to change, to know what we want to become so we change into that person.
