I am Fish is a physics based adventure game. It was developed by Bossa Studios Limited and published by Curve Games. It was released on September 16, 2021 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Windows. In August 2021, the IP was sold to TinyBuild. The game is a sequel to I am Bread. It launched on day one in Game Pass.
The Story of I am Fish
Is that a fish in a plane?!?
When a group of fish is fed Bob bread from the first game (I am Bread), the fish become sentient. The four fish become separated until one breaks out and gets to the bay. When the others see the signal from the first fish, the others follow suit and decide to break out as well. Getting there isn’t easy though, to do it they need to avoid Bobs, animals, and the biggest obstacle of all, physics. Three of the fish have their own unique power that will help them get back to the others.
The piranha can bite and break or attach to certain objects. The flying fish can glide through the air after jumping out of water. The puffer fish can inflate into a ball and roll around on the ground or become a balloon. Careful not to stay out of the water too long, or else the fish will dry out and die. Luckily the game has a decent checkpoint system, allowing players to respawn at specific locations after losing a life.
In the last area of the game, you play as all 4 fish. You can switch between them and you have to use each fish’s unique ability to be able to get them free.
